The hotel facilities are a bit old, but you can tell they're well-maintained.

Very good quality hotel, best amenities and facilities. If there are gym and pool would be perfect.

Hotel is very old. There was a crazy dust build up on the walls and the carpet was just nasty. Service was fine and we appreciated the coin laundry room. But we will not be staying there again.

Our rooms have a breathtaking view of Franz Josef. The staff was friendly and helpful. The premise has no lift, but the staff was ready to assist with our luggage as we were on the second floor. Breakfast was excellent in a restaurant with a view. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed with the accommodation rooms. For a supposed 4-star hotel to accommodate in nothing more than a 2-star roadside motel was a bit disappointing. On check-in we were told that our breakfast was included, to then presenting ourselves at the restaurant to be then told that we would need to pay for our breakfast. Even after the duty manager was involved and recognized that it was a clerical error on their part, they still insisted we pay for the breakfast. We declined and left! Don't think I will be staying at this establishment again or recommending to any friends or colleagues.

You can see the glacier right from this hotel! We walked out and the glacier was right there. The staff is excellent and the ambience is perfect.

Very nice stay overall

I think it's one of the best legit hotel in Franz Josef. Staff are so nice. I had to cancel 1 night of my stay, as my main activity (the glacier hike) got cancelled due to bad weather. Hotel was kind enough to accommodate and refund me 1 night. Its definitely a nice place to stay.

The hotel's location was fantastic, right next to the glacier. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, but the hotel itself, including its furnishings, is quite dated. This is why I deducted points for the furnishings, especially since they weren't very clean (dirty kettle, broken refrigerator, iron covered in limescale). The room and bathroom, however, were clean. The service team was friendly but not very well-coordinated. The portion sizes were good, and the food tasted good. The restaurant could have been cleaner; there were still crumbs from breakfast on the windowsills in the evening. It's okay for a short stop, but it no longer meets modern standards.

The room was small; the bathroom was even smaller, so small that you'd bump into the wall if you turned around too much.

The receptionist was very welcoming.

The hotel is in a great location, close to places to eat.
