We had a wonderful stay. The Inn is conveniently located in the center of the historic district, close to many restaurants and shops. Easy access to the Civil War sites in the area. Our room was very comfortable, the staff helpful and the breakfast delicious. We highly recommend the Inn

This was our second stay and there were new inn keepers. It is a lovelly place full of history and the new team are very warm and welcoming! We stayed in the Kitchen Room off the courtyard. Its spacious, comfortable and the tub is lovely. It's easy access to the downtown area. The breakfast was very tasty! They decorated the inn for Easter and it added an special touch to our stay. This is on my list of favourite places to stay!

We were on our way to Florida and we prefer staying in B&B rather than a roadside hotel. Lovely comfortable room. We stayed in the Isabella suite to minimize stairs ( other than to and from breakfast). A beautiful old house made into a lovely inn. Parking was in back, very convenient. Inn was conveniently located to restaurants a short walk away. Breakfast was elegant. The day we there it was French Toast made with large thick bread. We hate to waste food. Had we known how large the serving was, my wife and I would have asked to split one plate, and asked for more fruit instead (hint hint).

Avoid Grieco Hyundai like the plague! I went there to correct vibration in my Ioniq 5. They did diagnostics and said they fixed the problem by balancing the wheels. However, after getting the car back and driving on freeways, the problem persisted with perhaps a 20% improvement. But also, additional problems arose after I left them, problems that, in my opinion, they caused. But I have not talked with a single service person because they DO NOT RETURN CALLS. Service here could be defined as misery.

Always come here during the December anniversary of the Civil War Battle of Fredericksburg. We usually stayed in the Virginian room upstairs. This time at checkin Liz offered us the Isabella. Glad we took her up on the offer. No steps except to go get our wonderful breakfast. BTW These ground floor units I’m told were the slave quarters before the Civil War!!!

What a great place, especially if you are a history buff. We stayed in The Kitchen House #9. Two Queen beds, glass wine glasses with brandy and chocolates ate in your room along with a coffee maker and lovely glass mugs. The beds are quite high but there was a stool provided. Also included is a bedside charging station with four plugs and several USBs. Robes are also provided. There is a tub shower in the room where a grab bar would be helpful. Outside your door is a lovely patio with tables and chairs. Breakfast is served upstairs in the main house in the beautiful dining room. Homemade breakfast was delicious. You also ave access to a small sitting room. Our only negative was the fan in the bathroom operates the fan as well. The noise is a little annoying. But other than that it was lovely.

Amazing ❤️ we stayed in Isabella suite and there was nothing we could have wanted. It has two queen beds, a kitchenette, table and chairs and so well stocked with Keurig coffee pods. And it is on the courtyard area so very easy to get to from parking area Breakfast was so flavorful and juices and coffee was available as well. Marissa, who served breakfast , was friendly, informative and a wonderful cook!! We found Fredericksburg, Virginia to be very friendly and a wonderful stop. I hear Christmas season here is also remarkable. Thank you Richard Johnson Inn for making us feel so welcome.

The Richard Johnston Inn was a fantastic place to stay on our recent trip to Fredericksburg. The room was spacious (we stayed in room # 10 off the patio) and extremely clean. The location couldn't have been better, located in the heart of Old Town Fredericksburg. Don' miss the breakfast - it was outstanding. Would highly recommend!
