Ocean Reef Yacht Club & Resort

We had a great time! Family trip. The resort was under construction but they were courteous about it. The only part we didn't like was how the concgeaire lady Hatti asked us to do the timeshare presentation so she could get a reward and then when I didn't buy she seemed cold for the rest of the trip. Other than that we loved the location, had fun seeing sharks in the canal. We smirked in the canal and enjoyed that as well before we saw the big sharks lol

The staff were pleasant and helpful. Th resort was quiet and relaxing. It was close to several beaches. There is one restaurant that had a nice vibe. The main swimming pool was closed for repairs for our week. The weight room was not operational and was in poor shape. The bed was very firm.

Very nice resort. Has access to everything you need to make your trip memorable. The villa was spacious and very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Internet could be better. While we purchased the internet during our one week stay, it was choppy and not work at times. The resort is not on the beach but very easy to go to different beaches every day either by resort provided transportation or Taxi! you may even walk to Coral beach for about 15 minutes if you like. We loved it!!

This was a disappointing vacation. We were sold a bill of goods as they say. We went on a promotion via Monster, Inc. We were told we would NOT have to hear a presentation as we did one in Dec 2023 (Poconos, another disappointment). We went to the presentation, expressed our disappointment in facilities and location and the presentation piece. We had 2 teens with us. Not a lot to do. They offered to move us to an all-inclusive but said we had to buy into RCI to do so. We walked out. What you see on the website regarding the rooms is NOT what the rooms look like. You had to pay cash for the majority of activities booked thru ORYC. You had to pay for WIFI!! Never have I had to do that. There were issues with the WIFI which WE had to call IT. Once IT gave us a code, we had to go to the front desk to give to them in order for WIFI to get activated. Restaurant on site was to close 10pm one evening. We went for a bite around 9:30pm and it was closed. I opened a drawer in the bathroom vanity and there was a dirty washcloth in it - not just dirty. I wasn't sure what was on it. The dust under one of the beds and fans were thick. They cleaned the room the following day. I asked for tissues; they didn't bring them. Maybe they didn't have any. I HIGHLY recommend not staying here.

Hattie, Marcia and Esther were excellent. The room itself was old with old furniture. I mean even the patio furniture was old. I could not believe this resort was even apart of the trips available. The room had humungous water bugs we were killing every day. I will never return, nor will I recommend this resort.
