The hotel was lovely. We had a traditional room which was nice and spacious. The beds were comfy. They provided skincare products and 6 different bottles of toiletries for the shower which was a nice touch. We didn't get a chance to try the baths but they looked nice. Good location close to some restaurants and a shop. Would have liked to stay longer.

Pros: Convenient shuttle bus pickup and dropoff. Also has a free drinks bar and massage chairs. Has a simple outdoor onsen too. Neutral: food was ok but not amazing.

Over all worst trip experienced in Japan after same to the country so many times. We miss the paid dinner by a hour. No refund or not even try to reserve any dinner for us. We thought, ok it’s mainly fault missing the dinner time. It starts getting bad after we checked in, It’s super cold during the winter time and the heating source are either from the kerosene heater or the AC. For AC it’s basically only blowing out cool air after turned “heating” for over 30min. Then we decided to turn on kerosene. The smell becomes unbearable after 20-40min.! Then it starts beeping with a sign “ventilation” we had to open the door to let he smell of engine oil out. Barely slept the night during to the smell and coldness. They in the morning around 10, here comes the check out time. We felt quite violated through out and quite inconsiderate service, the front desk seems very polite but a bit mean somehow. The elderly gentle man at the desk was nice and helpful. But for rest (most) of the faculties, For this very fake politeness not even any genuine sense of“trying to make it better”. Not really recommended.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly. When we arrived at the hotel quite late, a Japanese gentleman greeted us. Although he didn't speak English fluently, he tried to communicate with us using his phone's translator, which was very endearing. A foreign female staff member was also extremely helpful, from the phone call before check-in to arranging a car for us at the station on our last day. Another staff member also helped with our luggage; it was all very heartwarming. I especially appreciated the daily breakfasts. They called our room two minutes before breakfast time each day, and a delicious breakfast was already prepared when we arrived at the restaurant. Starting each day with a satisfying breakfast was a delightful experience. The hotel doesn't face Mount Fuji, but it's actually near Lake Kawaguchi, with a beautiful lake view. Mount Fuji is just a short walk from the hotel. The cable car station is only a ten-minute walk away, and Lake Kawaguchi Station is less than a 20-minute walk. I highly recommend this hotel. It's unpretentious, reasonably priced, surrounded by a beautiful environment, and very conveniently located.

Although it is an old hotel, the facilities are a bit old, but each front desk is very warm, polite, in addition the room is very clean, the hot spring bath although small, but acceptable, breakfast worth a praise, beautiful and very full.

The hotel's breakfast and dinner are delicious and beautiful. I will go there again next time!

Excellent! The hotel has a good environment and is very close to Lake Kawaguchi. There is an open-air hot spring inside. The breakfast is particularly good. It is recommended to pay for it even if it is not included to experience Japanese breakfast. The Japanese-style room is very spacious.

The hotel's location and service are very good, but it's a bit old. It's recommended to update the settings. The three-person tatami room I booked has a very small entrance and bathroom, making it difficult to turn around. The room is too cold in winter, only a dozen degrees, the air conditioner is not hot, and it relies on a kerosene stove for heating. The room smells of kerosene. It turns off automatically after a while (reminding you to change the air) and then won't turn on automatically again...Maybe it will be more comfortable in summer. The hotel has a shuttle service to Kawaguchiko Station, with two shuttle buses at 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. every day, and seats need to be reserved in advance. Before arriving at the hotel, you can call the hotel to make an appointment for the pick-up service from Kawaguchiko, and wait for the shuttle bus at the No. 10 hotel-specific pick-up point at the station, which is very convenient. It's more comfortable to take a bath, with a small pool both indoors and outdoors, but the locker room is also relatively cold. The breakfast looks good in the picture, for reference, but it feels a bit expensive and I didn't book it. There are several restaurants and family marts within a few minutes' walk nearby, including izakayas, Western bars (you can have breakfast), and a Chinese restaurant with a 🍑Logo (forgot the name). They are all good and can be found on Google Navigation.
