Nishitetsu Hotel Croom Hakata Gion Kushida Shrine

This hotel is in a fantastic location—very close to Canal City Hakata and just a 1-minute walk to the 24-hour MaxValu supermarket, which was incredibly convenient. It’s also within a 5-minute walk of several popular, blogger-recommended restaurants. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet, not overly crowded, and feels very safe for solo travelers. I booked a room type that came with a kitchen and a washing machine, making it very easy to cook and do laundry during the stay. The room size was spacious enough for up to two people, exceptionally well-maintained, and spotless. Highly recommended!

Relatively convenient, quite near to canal city and there’re 2 yatai stalls every night just a few steps away!

The hotel is located close to Hakata Canel City and 2 min away from the nearest subway exit. Breakfast is great! Room cleanilines can be improved as we are talking about Japanese standard.

7mins walk to Hakata station. Along the way, you can find Famous eateries like FUK coffee and Full Full Hakata. If you need a bigger space for luggages, book the raised floor double bed.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel with our family. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our family, and everything was well maintained. We especially appreciated the convenient location and the thoughtful service throughout our stay. The hotel had a relaxing atmosphere, which made our family trip even more enjoyable. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay!

They had larger sleeping clothes for foreigners and the slippers were comfortable. The onsen is really good too after a long day. The room was pretty spacious for a Japanese hotel. Breakfast was pretty good too, loved the hakata ramen! Overall a very comfortable stay.

it is very cozy and suitable for solo travellers especially for this type. the location is good as there is a subway exit right outside the hotel.

The location near the train station is excellent, making travel very convenient. There's an ice machine and ice cream available after soaking in the onsen, and vending machines with clean drinking water (both hot and cold) are provided on every floor. Amenities like ironing boards and irons are available to borrow. The room also has a washing machine and dryer, which is very convenient. The location is close to tourist attractions like Canal City mall, which is within walking distance. Overall, it was a great stay, and I will definitely return.

Location ~ very good Room Facilities ~ very good, the room that I booked has a washing machine. Room amenities ~ not that great. Basic amenities. Hotel facilities ~ no swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, but with public bath. Hotel policy ~ very rigid. Standard check in time is 3pm which is understandable. Arrived at 2.30pm asking to check in slightly earlier but was told cannot. Then I asked the standard check out time which is before 10am. I told them I need to catch early flight so not going to stay until 10am. With that, could I proceed to check in at 2.30pm but was told still cannot. Some other hotels that I stayed in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, etc. are very accommodating. Some hotels in Taiwan not allowed check in early but at least they will perform the check in process, only could collect key at 3pm. However this hotel just let the guests wait at the lobby without doing anything. Finally they opened the check in counter at 2.50pm. Breakfast served at 6.30am. Told them I need to rush to airport early morning, whether I could have my breakfast slightly earlier, or pack some food for me to go airport. Again policy and practice not allowed so. Just too rigid. Not flexible. Breakfast variety okay, but not very good or excellent Would I still return next time? No, I would rather try other hotels. With that, I won't return even though the location is good.
