Facilities: Fully equipped, with a separate wet and dry area, spacious and hygienic, and the room itself is very stylish.
Environment: Overall clean and tidy, with a convenient location.
Service: Warm and attentive. Toiletries can be picked up at the front desk, and they even provide POLA brand amenities, which offers great value for money.

Came to Fukuoka, Japan for a vacation with friends and chose this hotel right next to Hakata JR Station for its convenience for our next day's itinerary. Overall, the room was a bit small, but everything else was pretty good. Downstairs, they have self-service toiletries and cosmetics, as well as a self-service coffee machine. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and extensive, featuring mentaiko (spicy cod roe), natto, onsen tamago (hot spring egg), with unlimited rice and ramen, plus fruits and coffee.

The location is close to the train station, which is convenient for anyone catching a train. Although it’s right next to the tracks, the soundproofing is surprisingly good.

Pleasantly surprised by the service at this hotel! I had a parcel delivered in advance, which the concierge received and then moved to my room when it was ready. The amenities were great: I was especially happy to find a bathtub even for a small room like mine and that the TV was indeed smart and could easily connect to streaming apps!
Cleanliness could be improved, as some stains and unidentifiable spots can be spotted on bed sheets/towels. The pillows were also not the most comfortable.
Regardless, my stay was great for a solo traveller!

The room is clean, a little cozy but still alright with one medium size luggage. About 15-20 mins walk from the hakata station. Enjoyed my stay during my trip!

Room was super clean. Even though it was small, I was still able to layout my 28” suitcase without any issues. The bathroom was very spacious and super clean as well.
It was a few minutes walk to Hakata Station. The hotel is located in a discreet area. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Dropped off my luggage prior to check-in and they even brought my luggage to my room. I would definitely book this hotel again in the future.

Almost no downsides to this place, apart from its distance from Hakata Station! The lobby on the second floor is clean and tidy, and they even offer bath amenities for guests to pick up. It really highlights how deeply ingrained the bathing culture is here in Japan! The room itself is a bit on the small side – you can't open two large suitcases at the same time – but the bathroom is surprisingly spacious, featuring both a shower and a bathtub. If you go to bed around 1 AM, you'll barely hear the train sounds, but they might become audible around 6 AM. Thankfully, earplugs are provided.

The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station, and there are Lawson and FamilyMart within a 5-minute walk, very convenient. The room is small but fully equipped, and the bathroom has a spacious separate wet and dry area, which is very comfortable. The TV is a smart TV, so even if you don’t understand Japanese programs, you can still watch YouTube or Netflix. The hotel offers a luggage delivery service to the airport, which is very convenient. On the second night, I forgot to put up the “Please Clean” sign, but the housekeeping staff still hung a bag of complete amenities on the doorknob, which was really thoughtful. If I have the chance to visit Fukuoka again, I would definitely choose to stay here!

Excellent value for money, especially when compared to similar hotels in the same area for the same dates. The bathroom's separate wet and dry areas were very comfortable to use. The air conditioning was powerful and effective, ensuring the room's air was fresh and odorless. Breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options, including many Fukuoka specialties. Highly recommended!

The room facing the railway tracks was incredibly noisy, with the disturbance starting as early as 4 AM, making it impossible to get any decent sleep. Furthermore, the staff were quite rude. I would strongly advise against staying here. The only redeeming feature was the bathroom's proper wet/dry separation.

A hotel that presents amazing value for the price. It's located close to Hakata Station, which is the main transport hub of the city. There are also several convenient stores nearby.
The room is clean and well appointed, though you should expect the typical Japanese hotel room size.
There are a couple of useful amenities in the hotel, including ice machines, microwaves, teabags, toothbrush with toothpaste, razor kits and towels etc.
Breakfast is available for an additional 1300 YEN or so.
One downside is that if your room faces the train tracks, noise could be an issue if you find it hard to fall asleep with the slightest bit of sound.

This was my second stay, and overall it was pretty good. It's very close to Hakata Station and surrounded by lots of shopping. The room's cleanliness was decent. I booked a twin room, which was about 15 square meters, and while we could open both suitcases, it made the space feel quite cramped.

Hakata, being Fukuoka's main transportation hub, offers many accommodation options nearby, but they often come at a premium. The Shizutetsu hotel is conveniently located, about an 11-minute walk from JR Hakata Station. The room isn't huge, measuring around 15 sqm. However, the clever layout, particularly the wet/dry separation in the bathroom, made getting ready so much more comfortable! The front desk even offers DHC travel-sized toiletries like makeup remover, facial cleanser, toner, and moisturizer – a fantastic and unexpected touch! The value for money here is truly excellent, especially for Hakata! On the day of my stay, I noticed many Japanese business travelers also staying here, which made the environment feel very safe and reassuring. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit.
