Hotel Oriental Express Fukuoka Nakasu Kawabata

The hotel's facilities are relatively new, and the hardware conditions appear to be quite good. However, there's still room for improvement in daily maintenance and detailed cleaning. Occasionally, I noticed some dust and slight mold in the room, and the cleanliness inside the refrigerator could also be better. The room size, as is typical for Japan, is on the compact side, but considering the overall price point, it's quite reasonable. The gym, although not large, is equipped with Technogym machines, which is a plus for those with a fitness routine. My experience with the laundry room was rather average; my clothes even had mud-like stains after washing. Since there are only three washing machines, if a previous guest takes a long time to retrieve their laundry, I suggest the hotel post clearer notices, perhaps indicating that the front desk can assist, to avoid inconveniencing subsequent guests. Overall, the hygiene performance was decent, which might be due to a higher number of group travelers. However, considering the price, facilities, and overall condition, it's still a good value-for-money option and an acceptable choice.

This is an excellent hotel. It's very conveniently located with several convenience stores nearby. The hotel is clean and the food is delicious. The service is very friendly. We all loved it and would choose to stay here again.

While not super centrally located, it's still within walking distance to popular spots. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom with its separate wet and dry areas was incredibly practical – no awkward waiting around. Soundproofing was excellent, and the mattress was so comfortable; I slept wonderfully for all three nights of my stay. There are tons of great food options nearby, too! I'd highly recommend the breakfast place and the BBQ joint. There's also a sashimi restaurant that always had a line when I passed by, so it must be pretty good too!
