Amazing
MM328290****After two unbearable nights in a tiny 14-square-meter hotel, I made a last-minute switch to One Fukuoka. I heard it was the top hotel in Fukuoka, so I wanted to give it a try. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the Tenjin shopping district. You can step out and immediately start shopping, with Daimaru, PARCO, and Mitsukoshi all within walking distance. As soon as you enter the ONE FUKUOKA BLDG, you're greeted by a subtle, very soothing botanical scent. The hotel is next to an office building, so you need to look for it a bit, then take the elevator up to the 19th floor for check-in. The room is incredibly spacious. Fitting several suitcases isn't an issue, and there's even a dedicated luggage stand inside for organizing your belongings. It has a living room and a terrace directly facing The Ritz-Carlton. With double sinks and a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, what more could you ask for in terms of space in Japan? The hotel is very new, and both the bed and pillows have just the right firmness. The air in the room is fresh; after one night, I didn't get my usual rhinitis, and I even achieved an unprecedented deep sleep of over an hour. Besides the usual amenities, they also provide cotton pads, hair ties, mouthwash, socks, and bath towels. The mini-bar selection is also very rich and completely free – I drank to my heart's content. The only minor flaw I found was a small ring-shaped nail on the carpet, which looked like it might have fallen off a keychain or something similar. It made me feel like the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned, but overall, the cleanliness was acceptable and not dirty. There's a library bar and lounge on the guest room floor, offering unlimited complimentary drinks and desserts (they even have ice cream!). I regretted only staying for one night. The hotel's overall style reminds me a lot of The Sukhothai Shanghai – therapeutic, serene, and natural, but with a slightly more homely feel than Sukhothai. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Fukuoka!

MM31152****The hotel has a hot spring bath on the first floor, and pajamas are provided. After a long day of walking, a soak in the tub followed by a good night's sleep is just what I needed. The room also came with a washing machine and microwave, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel is right next to the subway exit. Although the room was a bit small, you can't have everything, and I was surprisingly satisfied overall.

AAmetravelsDirect entry to the station via exit 4 on B1 with a Lawson conveniently located on B1 to get food and its also a popular designated meeting point for day tours. With only three 2-in-1 washer/dryers provided, it was near impossible to get any laundry done, people were queuing up or rushing down to get to the machines, as the status of the machines were shown on the hotel room TV and can be monitored by all guests.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is quite close to Hakata Station, about a 7-10 minute walk from the Chikushi Exit or Chikushi Side Exit. There's a convenience store just to the left when you exit the hotel. Most of the dining options are closer to the station; the famous Hakata ramen was much too salty for my taste. The hotel's exterior and reception lobby are spacious and impressive. Due to an issue with our room type reservation, the front desk attendant on duty that day patiently and thoroughly explained the situation with a friendly attitude. For a hotel in Japan, the room size was decent; we could lay out two suitcases, one large and one small. The hotel is well-maintained and clean, and they provide two complimentary bottles of mineral water. The double bed was quite small (definitely not 1.5 meters, probably around 1.3 meters). My biggest frustration was with the showerhead; due to water pressure issues, it constantly pointed to one side, making it very difficult to control the spray direction.

BBeautiful day to travelWe stayed as a family of four in a room with four beds for one night, and it was a great experience. The location is excellent — just a few minutes’ walk from the train station once you exit, with convenient stores nearby. The hotel sits at the beginning/end of the Tenjin area, making it perfect for food, shopping, and exploring. What we loved most was that it’s surrounded by several Yatai stalls. When we first arrived in Fukuoka, we stayed in the Hakata area and had trouble finding Yatai. Staying here made it so easy to enjoy the Yatai vibes, even though the food is similar across stalls. Highly recommend staying in this area instead if Yatai is what you’re looking for! Service at the hotel was very good — staff were kind and helpful, from assisting with luggage storage to helping us call a taxi in the morning. The hotel also has a small spa room, though it can get quite crowded. There’s a self-service laundry room too, costing about 100–300 yen for wash and dry, which is very convenient. The room was comfortable with cold air-conditioning, cosy blankets, and a dehumidifier/air purifier provided. Everything was just right for a good night’s sleep. Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay — great location and helpful staff. Would recommend!

EE1846****Unlike the two previous hotels I booked, this one is much closer to the JR station and the airport shuttle bus. You don't even need to cross the road; it's just a left turn right outside the Chikushi Exit. I was unexpectedly upgraded from the king-sized room I originally booked to their largest twin room. It was over 30 square meters, could accommodate three people, and felt like a small suite – definitely the biggest room I stayed in during this trip. The bathroom featured double sinks, and to my surprise, there was even a sanitizing wardrobe. Next to the bed, there was a small lounge area with a sofa and a table, plus two massage devices. The only drawback was the lack of a window. Check-in and check-out were entirely self-service and very convenient. Complimentary coffee and disposable toiletries were available on the first floor. Diagonally opposite, you'll find Daikoku Drug, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, and FamilyMart, while a Lawson convenience store is conveniently located right next door.

MMiyu BirdiePersonal opinion as a female Asian traveler. Location: 20 mins walk from Hakata station. 4 mins walk to Gion bus stop or canal city bus stop, both go to Hakata station in around 10 mins. Also, 15 mins walk to Kawabata Shopping Arcade and Canal CityHakata. There are not many restaurants nearby, only convenient stores around the area. Better eat before returning to the hotel. There is a MaxValu Express (open for 24 hrs, 2 levels: 1st floor drugsstore and B1 supermarket) 4 mins walk from the hotel. Great option for late night snacks, drinks, daily necessities, and tax-free shopping. Room: small and a bit old, cleanliness ok, no bath tub only shower stall. Shower water is not hot enough. Very poor sound insulation (recommended to use earplugs when sleepping. Provided on 1st floor of hotel). You can hear almost every single activity happening next door(literally meaning). Light switches far away from bed, which is a bit inconvenient. Front desk: it is an unmanned hotel. Self check-in via smartphone prior (utilizing the QR code) or via computer on 1st floor. Self check-out via tablet provided inside the room or computer on 1st floor. Using password to enter room. There is a female staff member in the lobby area in the morning if needed help for anything. She doesn't speak much English but is very friendly and willing to help. Also, you can text the hotel staff member for assistance if needed via the room tablet provided. They reply quickly. Amenities: self-service, self luggage storage, only basic items provided. There is no ice maker and only 1 laundry machine on the 1st floor (always being occupied). All in all, Pros: though the hotel is unmanned, I find it pretty chill, easy and efficient as long as you figure out how things work (not hard at all, perhaps more accessible for younger visitors). Cons: You really have to lower your expectations for everything else. I personally feel it is more like a hostel than a hotel. But considering it is the Hakata area and with this affortable price, can't murmur.

QQYCThe hotel is conveniently located right beside the canal city mall, but it was actually quite a bit of outdoor walking distance from the subway station as the connecting bridge from the mall was closed for some reason. The hotel is very big and each floor has a very long corridor full of rooms. However, the facilities are quite old and the walls are paper thin, I can clearly hear people talking along the corridor. The room was also quite dated and small, and the toilet was really cramped even for 1 person. The bed was really comfortable though. I only stayed for 1 night which i think is more than enough to explore canal city and nearby areas.
