Location: About a 10-minute walk to the right from the Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station, following the railway tracks. It's quite convenient for getting around. The hotel is located in a relatively quiet neighborhood, and you can occasionally hear train sounds from the room, but the soundproofing of the windows is decent, so it just acts as white noise.
Facilities: The room isn't very large, but it's just right for one person. It has everything you need and is well-equipped. The in-room washer/dryer combo is a big plus. There's also a free coffee machine and ice maker in the lobby. 👍🏻
Service:
Pros: The staff are polite and attentive, and most of the front desk can communicate in English. After checking out, I realized I had left something in the fridge. I went back a few hours later, and the staff helped me find it. I didn't even notice until I got home that they had added extra packaging and an ice pack. 👍🏻
Cons: Housekeeping frequency is too low. The drain in the bathroom tub is quite small, and if it's not cleaned, the water drains very slowly.
This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The room was already quite spacious, but what I loved most were the bathroom and shower – they're huge, with a perfect wet/dry separation. The Refa shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were amazing.
The location is also superb. It's less than a 5-minute walk to Daimaru department store and Tenjin Underground Mall. If you walk in the opposite direction and cross the bridge, you'll find the Yatai food stalls, Nakasu, and the Ichiran Ramen head office. KOMEDA is right across the street from the hotel, making it a great spot for brunch. Kanetora Ramen is also very close, just a short walk away. I spent three days in Fukuoka and could basically walk everywhere.
A taxi to Fukuoka Airport only takes about 15 minutes and costs around 100 RMB, which is incredibly convenient. Highly recommended!
The Italian restaurant downstairs at the hotel is also pretty good.
