Hotel Sonne

Downtown of Fussen Fussen|0.04km from city centre
An easy seven-minute walk from the train station is the comfortable and delightful Hotel Sonne Fussen. You will have to cross a two-lane road, but there are crosswalks at either end. There are actually two entrances. If you go to the right-side facing Sonne, there is a convenient door entering the hotel. The other door is on the people street of Reichenstrasse. In between the entrances are several smaller stores. There is a convenient parking garage in the lower floor. There is a room where you do have access to a washing machine and dryer found in the garage area. The reception staff, like the hotel, are friendly and accommodating. Don’t forget to ask for your “Fussen Card” which will give you a free bus ride up to Neuschwanstein and back. The busses are right by the train station. Our room was indeed very clean and pleasant. We had a balcony room facing the mountains. The only downside was the lack of privacy to one side. The balcony is nice though and we did use it The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large enough. We did like the soft-carpet in the room. By the desk was a large picture of the library museum that was once in a Benedictine monastery and later became City Hall. If you have time, visiting that museum is well worth the money and time. Our two days at Sonne’s we elected not to have our room cleaned. A box of towels was kindly left at our front door. Sonne’s was the only hotel to do this in our month long journey through Bavaria. The hotel is decorated with interesting pieces of art. Some of the pieces could be in a movie. Breakfast is a highlight. The staff takes superb effort to make your breakfast most enjoyable. There are all sorts of items to choose from. You will not starve. I did like the sausages and croissants. Most people, if not all, come to Fussen for the castle. We found the village of Fussen to be a delight. Besides the monastery museum, there is Hohes castle close by and a doable walk to Lechfall. An Aldi’s is just down the street. We found walking the people streets brought real character to Fussen. We did enjoy the hotel’s restaurant for one meal. On a side street is a superb Asian restaurant called ‘Thuy Golden Stabchen.” They had the best shrimp. Getting into the hotel was a bit tricky. Apparently it isn't open all the time, and we didn't understand that. We rang the bell a while, but finally got in when a guest was leaving. We found the desk, found the room list, and managed to find our room and get in, and it was lovely. We had booked a room for 4 people but were moved to the knight's room that slept six. It was nice to have the extra space. There are toilets and showers on each floor, and all were very clean. We didn't quite understand the shower booking system, so yes, I managed to walk in on someone. Fortunately she was done and dressed, so it wasn't quite a disaster. We didn't have a problem with crowds for either the shower or bathrooms. The location was right in the middle of all the activity. People were eating below us and at night musicians played music. It was very pleasant. The room got a bit stuffy, and so we kept the windows open at night. There was minimal noise, and we weren't bothered, except one early morning when the garbage trucks came through and the street sweepers afterwards. Lots of shops and eateries on the street. There also was a Woolworths a couple of shops from our hotel, for those who are old enough to remember them. We went inside to see what it was about, and it reminded me of my vague memories of shopping in one as a child. I had accidently spilled something on my shirt the day before, and couldn't get the stain out. I found a good replacement shirt at Woolworths for only 5 euros. I've washed and worn it a few times since we've been home, and it is still in good shape. I recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again. The proprietor is a young guy who was very helpful. He apparently works another job while trying to get the hotel going, which is why it isn't open all the time.

Felsey is located at the crossroads of Füssen town centre to the north of the town. It takes less than 20 minutes to drag the suitcase from Füssen train station, and more than 10 minutes of foot speed can be reached. The hotel is not on the side of the road, so be sure to pay attention to the yellow tourist street sign, turn in from the indicated place, it will be almost arrived, there will be another street sign to continue to prompt. This hotel is a bit like the style of the hotel haus, not big but clean and exquisite, with a small courtyard, breakfast and dinner can be eaten in the restaurant, can also eat in the small courtyard, drink a small wine after dinner, very comfortable. The town of Fussen is really beautiful and quiet, especially in the area around Lake Forggen in the north. Although it is far away from the town center, it takes ten minutes to walk, but the people are really scarce, staying for three nights, if not going to the theater. There are very few people on the road, and almost no one who does not speak German has met. There are many elderly people living here. The front desk of the hotel and the waiter and sister are very enthusiastic. I have a question and answer. I ask for directions almost every day. They will talk very carefully and give a new map every time. I had a transfer bus cancelled at that time, and also called the bus company for me. I asked in detail how to change the ticket and how to refund the ticket. I also checked the train ticket schedule and let me catch up with the most suitable. A train, strong praise! As soon as the hotel enters, there is a surrounding tourist information wall, a description of the fare of the three attractions of Neuschwanstein, the cruise schedule of Lake Forggen, as well as discounted advertisements for the theater, etc. The road at the entrance looks out into the distant mountains. We can see Neuschwanstein, and the hotel should be able to see the room in this direction, like the feeling of living in a fairy tale. Go to the train station for ten minutes during the day, then take the 73 and 78 bus for ten minutes, go to the ticketing center of Neuschwanstein Castle, visit a set of three attractions (New, Goshen Castle, Bavarian King's Museum), sit in the afternoon Returning to Fussen by bus, I watched a story about the king of Neuschwanstein at the Festspielhaus on the shores of Lake Forggen in the evening. The tour of Neuschwanstein was completed and I watched the locals of various Kua Ludwig II. The feeling is full of pink fan filters 😂. When the summer is hot, walk from the back road of the hotel to the shore of Lake Forggen, and watch the pictures of the locals swimming under the red net of the world, the Neuschwanstein Castle.

We spent 9 nights in the active hotel Schweiger. The hotel is located in a walk away from the old town foot and has a quiet location. The staff is very friendly, helpful and flexible. The room was clean and convenient. The varied breakfast buffet and dinner we enjoyed and is very recommendable. We thank Ms Müller and her team for the pleasant time at the Activ-Hotel Schweiger. We are happy to come back to feet in this hotel. Daniel M. from Switzerland

The hotel is in a good location, next to the visitor centre and the big supermarket. The room was clean and tidy, the theme room was very special, but the old man felt a little scary. Breakfast is rare and not good. Everything else is perfect and there is no charge for hotel parking.

1. First of all, the location of the hotel is very good. When I got off the train, I saw the central city hotel on the beige exterior wall. I got out of the turn and arrived. 2. The hotel was opened soon, the facilities are new, the boss attaches great importance to the guest experience, and is warm and thoughtful to the guests. The lobby is on the 0th floor, there are restaurants, there are tourist souvenir shops, all of them. I live in a triple room on the 1st floor. The room is not small. There are windows on both sides of the wall. The floor is made of wood and floor tiles, there are three-seat sofas and large wardrobes. Quiet and no noise at night. 3. After arriving at the store, the front desk will issue a Fussen transportation card, each deposit of 5 Euro, and the deposit will be refunded when the card is returned. It is very convenient to take the 78 or 73 road to Swan Castle. The town is not big, there is a rewe supermarket not far from the hotel. 4. The hotel buffet breakfast is 7 yuan per person and it is very good. The noon restaurant is closed. The boss is particularly good, allowing us to eat our own food at the restaurant after check-out, and give us a lot of more than a dozen breads. This hotel left us with a particularly good impression and is worth recommending.
