Howard Johnson by Wyndham Gallup

Staff were excellent. Only problem was had to have room with single bed. YET THIS REPORT SAYS WE HAD A ROOM WITH (2) TWO BEDS?? The check-in clerk told us that there were no 2 bedroom available at our check-in time of around 4 pm???????Other wise I would have higher rating.

Much of the problem is that area is so depressing.  More than 1/2 of the business are closed and those open are dilapidated including this place.  Looks like they’ve not updated anything in the building since it was built in the 50s or 60s.

I have stayed in lots of hotels the last month. Ireland & Europe, Minnesota & Nebraska and never had to leave a deposit. They demanded a $100.00 deposit, only think in room valuable was maybe TV and not sure worth a deposit. Room smelled bad, had bigs in bathroom this morning, didn’t dare to take a shower Parking lot needs repair, pot holes everywhere The whole hotel needs to be remodeled Looks like a homeless shelter Old cars & equipment out back Howard Johnson would be extremely disappointed of the conditions of this hotel

The motel offered a fair price for the room so that was the main draw. They had a nice continental breakfast that was satisfying. I'm not a big breakfast person, so this was perfect as I could have bagels, raisin bread, fruit etc, instead of just my usual cereal. I recommend this place as I would stay there again if I ever came back to Gallup.

The staff was very helpful and willing to help with our unique situation. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the boys in the band appreciated the free breakfast. We've stayed here several times while on tour and will definitely stay every time we need to stop in Gallup.

Breakfast had imitation eggs And that really cheap sausage they use at lesser quality hotels lately Very plain room off freeway

Eggs and potatoes were a little dry. My room was very good. This room was much bettter than the room i stayed in the visit. Everything inside of the hotel was very cleam. I notice the improvements! Now you need a new HJ sign outside and work on the landscaping. The young girl at the front desk was friendly and gave me a closer room due to me having a problem walking

The hotel is past its prime. Hotel staff were helpful, but not very efficient. The property needs capital investment to bring it to standards. For the money, it was a good value.
