The perfect location to start and/ or finish a trip to Sri Lanka. Just 15 mins, but a ‘million miles’ from Colombo airport. The Wallawwa is a wonderful, boutique hotel, in a gorgeous setting. The friendly, professional staff welcome you ‘home’ to the property. They cannot do enough for you, not because it is their job, but because they genuinely want to do so. This was a return visit to the Wallawwa for my husband and I, a recommendation in itself. The food is fabulous, many ingredients from their own gardens. Don’t miss tea and freshly made cake and biscuits on the terrace, each afternoon.Spacious, comfortable rooms are perfect for a restful sleep.

I saw an instagram post and made the reservation then and there. Service was exceptional. Food was tasty and we enjoyed our stay. Had some wine and cocktails the boy at the restaurant was really good he gave good suggestions as well. Overall excellent service. Will be back.

What a way to spend our last night in Sri Lanka, this is a jewel of a hotel, the same chain as the Camellia Hills hotel and it shows in the experience. the hotel is a beauty I wish we had spent more time here. The grounds are stunning with a lovely secluded pool the atmosphere is excellent as is the food and the service. There are several lovely spaces to sit and chill and the rooms are fantastic with exceptional bathrooms. We had to leave very early so they prepared a pack-lunch breakfast for us to take to the airport.

We arrived at Wallawwa late in the evening, and from the minute we walked through the door we felt like our holiday had begun. The team were so welcoming, the feel of the hotel itself is so relaxing and the food is amazing. Given its proximity to the airport it is the perfect place to start your Sri Lankan adventure! We will be back!

First day in Sri Lanka and our first hotel and it just didn’t disappoint. The service from the time we arrived to the time we left was impeccable. Our room was very generous with a beautiful outlook. Food was amazing. The hotel grounds are stunning what more could be said?
