Hotel Sea-Line, a small establishment right on the water, has a causal covered outdoor dining room with about 12 tables. For such a small place they have a fairly extensive menu with both Georgian and international dishes. We ordered the eggplant with nuts – thin slices of eggplant rolled and filled with a walnut paste – one of my new favorites; the Mexican potatoes – we’ve seen it on other menus and had to find out what it was, basically potatoes wedges with garlic and paprika; the sturgeon filet which was a tad under cooked (we don’t mind, better that than overcooked) but super fresh and served with a spicy rice pilaf that was too salty; and the roasted chicken which turned out to be a whole small chicken. Way too much food for two, but the bill was still under $30USD including 2 local beers. At 7:30 on a Wednesday evening we were the only diners. The hostess at our guest house said that with the recent bad weather, it’s been cool and rainy, tourism is down for late June.
