Ganzhou Kangbono Seven Star Hotel

The room was clean and tidy, and the butler service was warm and attentive. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, and the front desk handled check-in very quickly. The location is also very convenient. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Definitely not a 7-star hotel, more like a 4-star at best. I got bitten by mosquitoes. The breakfast was disappointing, lacking any meat dishes, and nowhere near as good as the Xiangjiang Wenhua Hotel. Their restaurant is on the top floor with great views and a wide variety of food, whereas here, only the Cantonese steamed buns and chicken feet were decent. Parking was convenient. I appreciate that the hotel provided facial cleanser, toner, and mouthwash. However, the tea box had a lot of tea dust and very little tea.

The hotel has a simple yet elegant design. The rooms are bright, airy, clean, and odor-free. The service is attentive and warm. The surrounding commercial area is well-developed, making it a perfect place to stay when visiting Ganzhou.

I checked in on the 29th and had booked a twin room. Upon arrival, they told us they'd upgraded us to a 'better' tea-art room, which just meant it had an extra tea table. I didn't see how it was an improvement. The room wasn't big, and the two beds were very close together. For a hotel positioned as 5-star in Ganzhou, I personally don't think it lives up to that. They saw we had a child but didn't offer an extra set of toiletries. The next day, because the room only came with two breakfast vouchers, they said children over 120cm would be charged 45 yuan. My daughter is 128cm. I asked the staff if there could be some flexibility, as such a slender girl wouldn't eat much for breakfast. The staff member coldly refused. I didn't say anything else and paid the 45 yuan, thinking a 5-star buffet breakfast should be worth the price. I was greatly disappointed; my daughter barely ate anything in the end. I've stayed in many hotels in first-tier cities before, and whenever I've brought a child, they've always proactively offered a complimentary breakfast and asked if I needed children's toiletries. On the 30th, I booked another hotel in Ganzhou, an executive king room, which also only included two breakfasts. When I checked in, the front desk proactively upgraded my room and offered a complimentary children's breakfast. As soon as I got to the room, they delivered children's slippers, toiletries, an extra children's buckwheat pillow, and a small quilt. The room rate was only 20 yuan more. Later, a hotel staff member contacted me, and I honestly relayed my unpleasant experience. They then said they would consult with their leadership and offered me some local specialties and a gift, which I declined. I knew what their intention was. As a consumer, no one is really bothered by 45 yuan for their child, but it's hard to understand such an inhumane management approach from a 5-star hotel, let alone expect guests to feel at home. If I remember correctly, this hotel advertises itself as a 'red culture' themed hotel.

The hotel's location is excellent, the rooms are spacious and quiet, and the bedding is comfortable, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The butler service is attentive and polite. It offers great value for money, and I've stayed here many times. It's my top choice in Ganzhou.

The environment was decent, and breakfast offered a good variety. Overall, the service was okay. However, the main drawback, likely due to management issues, was the poor elevator experience. Not only were there cigarette butts, but the long bench inside was covered in thick dust, as were other parts of the elevator. Upon entering the restroom, a strong smell of urine hit me. Since the room's door closer was faulty, and it was late, I decided to just deal with it and go to sleep. Around 5 AM, I was woken up by the noisy street outside. The room phone was useless, so I eventually had to call the front desk to get engineering to come fix it, which took over ten minutes. At breakfast, I had to look through more than ten cups, all of which were chipped. It was truly a very disappointing experience.

This hotel is conveniently located with easy access to transportation. The facilities are great, the staff is very friendly, and the room was clean and tidy, ensuring a comfortable sleep. Plus, the breakfast at the restaurant was excellent and extensive, featuring a variety of delicious local dishes. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time.
