Park Hotel Oasi
7.0 (33 reviews)

Park Hotel Oasi ★★★★

📍 Via della Pace, 18, Garda Town

"Currently staying at this hotel with a Leger coach holiday and it really is not great at all, definitely not a 4 star, more like 2. Food is truly awful, I can’t eat dinner as it’s just disgusting, I only have a dessert. Breakfast is always good with a wide choice but dinner is always awful. Leger are paid a fortune for our holidays and then put us in this shambles of a hotel, so run down and outdated, it’s a joke. Hotel is about a mile from lake, big hill to walk down and back up so not suitable for elderly or infirm. Honestly think Leger are rip off holiday company allowing us to stay in this hotel in this condition and feel sorry for the less able customers, at least I can get away from the hotel for most of the time. Coffee served in cafe at hotel is cold. The staff at this hotel are trying their hardest to give you a good holiday and service, very friendly and helpful, if it wasn’t for the lovely staff then I would not give this hotel 2 stars, they really are trying to save a sinking ship. Staff are what makes this hotel, the rest of it is terrible."

Sky Pool Hotel Sole Garda

Sky Pool Hotel Sole Garda ★★★★

📍 Via Monte Baldo, 9, Garda Town

"Fabulous stay in this great hotel where the staff are so warm, friendly and can’t do enough for you. Rooms great; food exceptional and particularly loved the roof terrace and views of the lake at sunset (while sipping a spritz!). Thank you all so much - we’ll definitely be back!"

Hotel Royal
7.2 (53 reviews)

Hotel Royal ★★★

📍 Via Don Luigi Sturzo, 5, Garda Town

"The hotel could be good but from Day 1 it just got worse. The bedrooms need refreshing, holes in the bed bedsheets, flaking paint on the balcony, bathroom light fittings loose, air conditioning is a joke. Much of the paving around the swimming area is uneven or simply missing and not be replaced. Took 3 days to get air con fixed in my room…. Still not ideal as it works like a fan rather than cooling the room. On one night I sleep on the balcony and took my chance with the mosquitoes since the room was that hot. NOTE: Roomed do not have fridges as advertised! No room service either. Wi-Fi only works in reception"

📍 Piazza Catullo, 10, Garda Town

"The restaurant are dismissive of any complaint about food. Not attentive. I have been sat here for 10 mins after they have taken away bad fish, dry bread and wine finished. Did I nention the plants past its best plant plonked on my table Despite a few glances my way. Not one waiter has come to me. Now it's 15 minutes. Finally waitress come and talked about it but said no one will believe it so post it"

Hotel Excelsior le Terrazze

Hotel Excelsior le Terrazze ★★★★

📍 Via Guglielmo Marconi, 4, Corno, Garda Town

"Very nice comfortable and clean hotel. Lake view is magnificent. Nice breakfast. Good parking. Excellent position. Pool is not big but enough. Needs better pillows selection."

Hotel Astoria
8.5 (54 reviews)

Hotel Astoria ★★★

📍 Via G. Verdi, 1, Garda Town

"Only stayed for 3 nights and so glad we chose this hotel as it’s in a great location, right in the centre of Garda, clean and very comfortable, good air conditioning. Receptionist were very friendly and helpful if you needed them. Bus station was only 2 minute walk away. Went to Venice for the day, although it was a long trip I’d highly recommend going, 2 hours each way from Garda. Breakfast just managable but it won’t keep you going all day first place I’ve been and not had toast. What was there was nice though. We would stay here again."

Hotel Alla Torre
8.0 (16 reviews)

Hotel Alla Torre ★★★

📍 P.za Calderini, 1, Garda Town

"The location of the hotel is perfect, close to everything including bus station, ferry terminal and restaurants. Also the staff Stefania and Sorina were amazing and helpful in advising and resolving on any issue during the stay at Garda. The facility of the hotel is limited as there is no water boiler, iron board, toiletries and gym/swimming pool. But if you are aware of it beforehand then it is all good."

Villa Madrina Lovely and Dynamic Hotel
9.4 (60 reviews)

Villa Madrina Lovely and Dynamic Hotel ★★★★

📍 Via Paolo Veronese, 1, Garda Town

"My family and I had a great stay at the Villa Madrina Hotel. The straff where so kind and accommodating, the hotel was beautiful and the location was just perfect with a 5min walk down to the city center/lake. Breakfast where also really lovely with a good and varied selection of food and really great coffee. Also a big plus that we could borrow bikes to explore the area. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"Awful hotel, only the location is5/5. One man (owner?) is unpolite: he loves german turists but other are like second class turists. He yells which is not good customer service. There should be more english instructions in the hotel. If u need breakfast box be ready that he dont want to give u that. Rooms are oldish and one buf I saw there. If u go there keep your clothes inside luggage. Cleaners dosent come everyday and they dont want to do their job like chaching towels or vacuuming the floor. I paid over 800e for one week and should know this before that cleaners are just waiting your tip. Ps. If u dont want to be cleaner change your career. Its your problem"

Locanda San Vigilio Hotels in Garda Town

Locanda San Vigilio

"We travel a lot and never write reviews. We felt compelled to do so in this case because we were close to cancelling our stay based on negative reviews on this website. This is a 16th C building converted into a 13 bedroom boutique hotel, set just outside Garda town in a desirable location favoured for lunch and sundowners by the Lake Garda boating fraternity. It has access to a shared pool, or is adjacent to a beautiful protected beach area which costs e30 a day ( you can come and go) to rent a lounger and umbrella ( as is the same everywhere we have been to in Italy ). The protected bathing area is easy to see in pictures and faces away from Garda town. The pictures of the hotel on the website are authentic. We stayed in the water view room in the wing overlooking the popular hotel bar on the pier. This is a 16th C building, it is not a modern glass and steel, floor to ceiling window type hotel. Our room was charming, authentic, and although the bathroom really only fits one person at a time, it had been refurbished and was fully equipped Breakfast and dinner were served on the restaurants outdoor terrace facing out to the lake and away from the pier/ bar. This is a lovely setting. The food and service were good and the staff spoke multiple languages and certainly english The pier bar is immensely popular with non hotel guests, who walk along the shore from Garda or boat in. From the first day of our four night stay the bar “ organiser” recognised me, knew my room number, and always gave us a table ( we were 2) immediately. We were there at one of the busiest weekends of the year. ( we did not have lunch there, maybe that is more of a problem, and a large group might be a problem) For people who like authentic, do not mind walking on heavily worn 16th c cobble stones, understand that in Italy you have to pay for eg a sun lounger, and love a beautiful setting, then we fully recommend this hotel"

"We had a wonderful stay at Casa Cavour in Garda. The location is absolutely perfect, and the apartment was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The owners are such kind and lovely people, and they made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Casa Cavour to anyone visiting Garda. Hotel Villa Anthea Hotels in Garda Town

Hotel Villa Anthea

"Garda is a beautiful town and Villa Anthea is a very well located family run hotel. Staff and owners go out of their way to make it a home from home, very helpful and always with a smile, big shout out to Radu and his sense of humour, he did make us laugh Room was a bit on the small side but who spends all day in the room, small balcony but able to fit two small chairs on. All areas very clean and nice toiletries and pool bags provided on request. QR code made easy request for snacks and drinks, served to you on the terraces if you wished. Fabulous breakfast, lots of choice, all freshly prepared, homemade cakes too and replenished quickly. Lovely relaxing outside areas to sit and chill and chat to other guests or enjoy the pool as you wish, not noisy and not too busy either to say hotel was fully booked, could always get a sunbed. Had a fabulous stay, would definately recommend Villa Anthea, ( but quietly as it is a hidden gem ) Thanks for help making our stay in Garda a very memorable time we definately be back. Sporthotel Olimpo

"We spent two nights passing through Lake Garda and went to the Arena in Verona in the evening. Given the reviews, I was a bit skeptical, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our two rooms were obviously relatively recently renovated and fully met our expectations. Our teenagers were particularly impressed by the pool. Breakfast was also better than expected. Everything was there, even if the coffee wasn't great. For dinner, you can choose between three dishes for the starter and main course – it was really good."

Tobago Hotels in Garda Town

"We had booked two nights at the Tobago Hotel in Garda and arrived around 5pm on Friday. The receptionist explained some banal things that were actually all clear. What irritated us was that she insisted that we leave our suitcases at the reception. Someone needed the suitcases into the room. We had specified anti-allergic bed linen as a request when booking, this request was not canceled by the hotel and yet the receptionist explained to us upon arrival that there is no anti-allergic bed linen in this hotel. We drove the car all day and relied on the fact that our wish for anti-allergic bed linen would be fulfilled in this Tobago hotel, as is always the case in every hotel. If the hotel had informed us when making our reservation that anti-allergic bed linen was not possible, we would have canceled the room immediately. Strangely enough, the hotel also informed us by email that we should make a reservation for dinner at the hotel in good time. That was okay. First we went to dinner in Garda. We wanted to have a glass of wine in the restaurant and waited 20 minutes. Since no waiter came, I went to the bar. When asked, a waiter came to the table and handed out a drink menu, but then he didn't come back to take the order. After another 20 minutes of waiting, we went to the room and skipped the wine. In the room we noticed that the bed cover was dirty. And we also found a hair on the blanket. We suspect that the duvet was not changed and was simply left as it was by previous guests. This fits with the fact that there were flip-flops in the hotel room that were kept in a wellness bag and where it was obvious that one pair of the two pairs had already been used because they were dirty flip-flops. We have never experienced this anywhere. We will share pictures of this. Now we were completely without bed linen and had to sleep in thick clothes without a blanket. It was cold in the room at night, so we took the duvet, which caused an allergic reaction in my wife, which manifested itself in a cough and a rash. We spent the rest of the night sitting on the bed with our clothes on. We were excited about breakfast, which we had to tick on an extensive form upon arrival. There may be people who like to do that, but for us it was the level of a spa stay that the health insurance company pays for. We have never experienced this on the many trips we take on a regular basis. The breakfast staff reserved a table for us outside, when the outside temperature was around 12°, and actually thought that we would sit outside. We sat down at a table inside and were served in a not particularly friendly manner. De"

"Just back from a mini break at this wonderful resort. We had an apartment with breakfast and we were in block D- high up the hill. This gave fabulous views and total peace but the trek was tough for me. So I called on Fabio with his golf buggy a lot and cannot praise him enough for his help. He also introduced us to lalaterna restaurant just outside the resort gates. Do go and make sure you are really hungry. It is where the locals go to eat and portions are huge and delicious. The resort was clean and gardens beautiful. Breakfast was lovely but we were disappointed that to eat in the evening there was only a set price 3 course dinner. We had no issues with the free shuttle bus into town and all staff were cheerful and helpful. Loved it. Loved Fabio most of all. He is an asset to the resort."

"We stayed as a family group of 3 adults and one child (6). This hotel was everything we could’ve ever dreamed and more! The hotel itself and the grounds and stunning and beautifully maintained… the views are to die for and the staff are so accommodating, it was a an absolute dream to stay here. We spent time in the spa, around the pool and enjoyed an al fresco breakfast each morning. The shuttle into town is a very welcomed service the hotel provides. So easy and convenient! We also booked a wine tasting in the hotel’s own wine tasting, which was wonderful. Andrea was very knowledgeable and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed this experience and found the price very reasonable. Special thanks to Ilaria for help booking transfers and tours for us and always being so welcoming. Jada was also wonderful and Roberto and Claudia in the lounge and at breakfast, always so accommodating. Apologies for missing anyone, the staff here really are a credit to the hotel and make it extra special. I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, you can tell they pride themselves with perfection. It’s an exceptionally high standard and we can’t wait to visit again!"

"Superb hotel, there is nothing that can be done to make this place better, it’s absolutely perfect. Beautiful pool, great pool bar and staff. Spacious rooms, with everything you need for your stay, immaculately clean. Breakfast is excellent and all the staff are very attentive. Cocktails in the American bar are a great way to end your evening. A little gem in the heart of Garda"

Park Hotel Oasi ★★★★
"Dreadful. Very dated. Shabby Miniscule shower On a plus bar staff were lovely. The waiting staff in the 'restaurant not so much. Given a time for dinner. Had to pre order food at breakfast. Which I hate! Thus is supposed to be 4 stat it's more like a 1 star and I'm being generous. Long walk in the town itself however a local shuttle bus runs regularly and it's free. Breakfast was fine with a wide selection of foods. Evening meals were disappointing. Fish or some sort of meat or veggie option.First course pasta or soup. All flavourless. Overall very disappointing 😞 ."

Sky Pool Hotel Sole Garda ★★★★
"We spent a week at the Sky Pool Hotel Sole in Garda in the middle of May and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is modern and extremely clean, our bedding was changed every couple of days and the room was immaculate. The standard room is perhaps a little small but there was more than enough room to move around and we had a nice size balcony to sit out on. The best thing about this hotel is the staff who were efficient and extremely friendly. They soon got to know us and called us by our names which was a nice touch. I celebrated my birthday while we were there and I was presented with a gift of homemade biscuits at breakfast that morning. I was completely surprised by this and it was such a nice touch. We were half board and the food was delicious and ample and there were lots of Italian dishes. We also loved Garda town, it is not too busy, though this was mid May, but there was lots going on. The lake front has lots of restaurants and snack bars and is a nice walk from one end to the other. We will definitely return to Garda and hopefully to this hotel again. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday special."

"The hotel is a great base from which to explore Lake Garda. Yes the decor is a little dated but the rooms are a good size and are clean and comfortable and tended to daily. The food is plentiful, tasty and offers a good choice, both at breakfast and in the evening. Snacks are available from the bar. Speaking of which, the bar and reception area is ideal, welcoming, comfortable and a good size so everyone can spread out during the day and at busier times such as the evenings. One night we had live music and there was plenty of room for dancing without being on top of those who just wanted a drink and a chat. Worth mentioning the cocktails (pina coladas well worth trying), all reasonably priced. The pool is an asset, very clean and also a good size and depth. The team at the hotel are all very welcoming, attentive and very friendly, working exceptionally hard to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Happy to recommend this hotel and look forward to hopefully returning another year. Thanks to the team for their hospitality."

Hotel Alla Torre ★★★
"We stayed for 4days 3nights in this hotel and overall I’d say it’s 4/5 stars however none really affect the hotel. Hotel whereabouts: Hotel is in an amazing spot about 30seconds from the lake front surrounded by shops but is never crowded by the entrance. The checking in/reception is separate to the hotel which is a little confusing however is explained on the entrance to the hotel. Also the little shop right next to the hotel will help direct you. Facilities: AC is incredible especially being out all day and also on the humid days. However we found it made quite a bit of noise at night, not the hotels fault. The TV oh my. Constantly loosing signal and turning off very frustrating when trying to watch the England play in the World Cup lol. Again this could be down to the location and bad signal or an older version of a TV? Due to being apart of another hotel (linked to the building you check in/out with) we are able to use the pool tables free, use the rooftop for sunbathing and 10% off at dinners in there restaurant. Hairdryer provided is very weak in case you debate bringing your own. Also in case your wondering if from the UK you’ll need to purchase a plug to use sockets as different plugs Had a live orchestra on the square behind the hotel where you could sit on the shared balcony’s that each floor had to watch! -1 star: Not really the hotel at fault but few things that was not great. One being the loud water from AC and bathroom. Another for the loud noises would be who we thought were the cleaners. Now this was ridiculous loud, loud banging slamming of doors constantly. However I will say the walls are incredibly thin and the bell that rings above the hotel sounds like it’s in the room with you. The shops below and restaurants bringing in and out there things is loud also so again not the hotels fault really. Ants!: Lastly would be that we had many ants in our room. On our bed, under skirting boards under window and our bathroom. I thought maybe we had brought them in but I seen 3-5 gathering and returning to under the window in a gap. We did report this to the receptionist at the time to a man called Luca. Luca was really apologetic about this and requested someone attend to it in the morning as we noticed a lot more had returned when we arrived back from being out and this was quite late. In the morning when we went into the other hotel for breakfast my partner spoke to a lady in reception about the situation. She said she was aware and that loads of ants in your bed, floor and bathroom is normal? I’m not sure about that. The man did actually come and investigate the ant infestation in the morning and then said he’d return once we had gone out so he wasn’t in our way. If they did this I don’t know as we saw some still when we returned later."

"Quiet hotel, 10 minute walk from Lake Garda, comfy rooms and beds but no tea/coffee facilities in bedrooms. Very welcoming and helpful staff but limited access to bar and refreshment facilities during the day. Went as part of a large group so individual visitors may have different services. Access to outside space for refreshments. Close to bus and train stations. Recommend this hotel."
