"Unfortunately, a huge disappointment – ​​how is this place rated 4 stars? We have never felt so uncomfortable upon arrival at a hotel. Our first thought was to leave immediately. The only truly positive aspect is the fantastic location with its beautiful view of Lake Garda, especially during breakfast and from the garden. The rest left us speechless. The entire hotel appears extremely outdated and neglected. There are old, dirty carpets everywhere – even in the elevator. The smell in the elevator upon our arrival was so overpowering that it almost made us nauseous. Our room was also in a shocking state: worn and damaged doors and furniture, damaged flooring, and an overall lack of maintenance. There were noticeable dark patches and traces of mold in the corners of the bathroom. The toilet flush was partially broken and, when it did work, flushed so forcefully that residue reached the bottom of the lid. We were glad we had brought our own disinfectant. The whirlpool was dirty and clearly out of order, even though we experienced temperatures of up to 40°C. Why such an area isn't maintained and open to guests is completely beyond our comprehension. The service was nowhere near what we would expect from a 4-star hotel. At times, we weren't even greeted. The "new bar" on the waterfront was particularly disappointing: we waited for about 40 minutes without being served, while several employees stood behind the bar, engrossed in their phones. Most disturbingly, it seems no one is genuinely concerned about the hotel's condition. The location is fantastic and could be the foundation for a beautiful hotel – unfortunately, this potential is completely wasted. Our conclusion: definitely not a 4-star experience, and sadly, we cannot recommend it."

Spacious rooms, with everything you need for your stay, immaculately clean. Breakfast is excellent and all the staff are very attentive. Cocktails in the American bar are a great way to end your evening. A little gem in the heart of Garda"

Poiano Garda Resort Hotel

"We have just returned from a really disappointing stay at this hotel. The rooms are old, and tatty. Fittings are broken and damaged in places. It is supposed to be a 4* hotel but it is 2* at best. I could have overlooked the terrible decor if our bathroom had not smelled strongly of public urinals. Totally unacceptable. We did change rooms after the first night. The decor was still as bad but at least the bathroom didn't stink. We couldn't open the wardrobe in the bedroom as the bedroom was too small to accommodate the bed and a wardrobe. The balcony had four chairs on it but only one was useable and the other three had to be piled up because there was no room for them. Overall, cleanliness was not great (our balcony was grim and cleaqrly had not been cleaned for a long time) and you have to ensure your own bins are emptied into the communal bin stores - or risk an 80 euro fine. Possibly everywhere else you could book in Lake Garda would be better than this hotel. On the plus side, the pool area is quite nice."

Ca' Barbini Resort

"We had 11 wonderful days at Ca Barbini Resort, the perfect place to explore Lake Garda. We stayed in a Lake View room which was spacious and comfortable with a good size balcony. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help, we especially loved breakfast in the garden over looking the lake. The overall facilities were superb, we really appreciated the free shuttle bus in to town. If you are looking for a quiet location with fantastic views and easy access to explore we would highly recommend this hotel."

Hotel Royal

"Hotel needing updating. Food not labelled at the buffet, cold and usually by the time we ate run out of food especially the deserts. Rude staff in the dining room. We were herded into one corner at the back of the dining room with no choice of meal times. Uneven slabs around the pool area were one of our group tripped and fell."

Hotel la Perla - Bike Hotel

"A real test for management and staff as a fire at a local electricity sub station caused a blackout for a couple of days. Management and staff passed the test with flying colours. No surprise from an excellent hotel and we just got on with our holiday."

"Brilliant location , was on a tour meals nice choose at the breakfast for the evening meal .no bar , rooms cleaned daily small fridge .no tea making already knew so took own kettle etc .my room wasn't the best 124 as only had a small window & looked out onto a roof I did ask to move but full hotel. Would have been perfect if front with balcony. As had an early return flight they did give us a breakfast pack up .would recommend as good location & beautiful view looking out of restaurant."

"Wonderful location with a fantastic view of Garda and Lake Garda from the balcony. We stayed in the apartment complex, renovated in 2024. It's a spacious apartment with comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, air conditioning, and a balcony with a view. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the complex. There's a good pool, always a sunbed available, a delicious cappuccino in the morning, and friendly staff. And it's all within walking distance of the lake and town center. You can enjoy the hustle and bustle, or simply relax at the complex."
