"We spent a week at the Sky Pool Hotel Sole in Garda in the middle of May and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is modern and extremely clean, our bedding was changed every couple of days and the room was immaculate. The standard room is perhaps a little small but there was more than enough room to move around and we had a nice size balcony to sit out on. The best thing about this hotel is the staff who were efficient and extremely friendly. They soon got to know us and called us by our names which was a nice touch. I celebrated my birthday while we were there and I was presented with a gift of homemade biscuits at breakfast that morning. I was completely surprised by this and it was such a nice touch. We were half board and the food was delicious and ample and there were lots of Italian dishes. We also loved Garda town, it is not too busy, though this was mid May, but there was lots going on. The lake front has lots of restaurants and snack bars and is a nice walk from one end to the other. We will definitely return to Garda and hopefully to this hotel again. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday special."

"The hotel is a great base from which to explore Lake Garda. Yes the decor is a little dated but the rooms are a good size and are clean and comfortable and tended to daily. The food is plentiful, tasty and offers a good choice, both at breakfast and in the evening. Snacks are available from the bar. Speaking of which, the bar and reception area is ideal, welcoming, comfortable and a good size so everyone can spread out during the day and at busier times such as the evenings. One night we had live music and there was plenty of room for dancing without being on top of those who just wanted a drink and a chat. Worth mentioning the cocktails (pina coladas well worth trying), all reasonably priced. The pool is an asset, very clean and also a good size and depth. The team at the hotel are all very welcoming, attentive and very friendly, working exceptionally hard to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Happy to recommend this hotel and look forward to hopefully returning another year. Thanks to the team for their hospitality."

"The first time I was at their restaurant was for a work dinner 2 years ago. At the time all was good and I wanted to go back now with just my husband. I called four times on different days to make the reservation and the lady who answered me told me that she could not make the reservation in advance as they would have to prioritize guests, asking me to call on the same day from 11am. So I did and she told me that the restaurant was full and that she couldn't accept my reservation. On the day, August 21st, I had an aperitif in the tavern next to the restaurant and my surprise was when I saw that the restaurant was not full all night and on the terrace not even half of the tables were occupied! I went to reception and asked to speak to the manager. The lady at reception refused to call him/her and told me that I would have to speak to her. I politely explained what had happened to which she replied that the restaurant was not actually full that day, but that they could not accept more people due to the capacity of the service. What??? It's August and they don't have staff to service the restaurant, which isn't even that big??? The behavior of the lady and especially the arguments used every time I called were unacceptable and which turned out to be untrue! Without a doubt I won't be back!"

"We stayed at Cortina for 7 days this July. We booked via travel agency and didn't have much of a choice in hotels so we chose this one. I read reviews beforehand and it looked like it was going to be a nice hotel with nice and helpful staff. I emailed the hotel prior to arrival asking for a parking space, to which they replied yes. There were few spaces in front of the hotel. However when we arrived, we were told we can't park the car in front (others did however throughout the week) but instead about 1km away to a public parking space. None of this was mentioned in the email, that parking was so far away. Through the whole week Luigi seemed annoyed with us, hardly said anything and made us feel unwanted customers. Older lady, younger man and woman at breakfast were great though. Bed was not very good, only 1 superflat pillow on the bed, no duvets just a sheet to sleep on. We asked for another set of pillows and were given them, but we ended up buying new, proper pillows from a shop. Air-con, although it being super hot 36-38C everyday, was turned off in the evening for the night, so it was never cool in the room. It worked bad. A fridge would have been good to be able to have cold drinks in the room. Breakfast is not buffet, its served to your table with selection of hams, tomato, cheese, rolls, orange juice and croissant. Also a choice of coffees are served. Varying by day, they also bring a dish, one day scrambled egg, another some bean dish. Most were disgusting (and they did not ask if we want them, so felt bad not eating them). Location was great and gladly we had so much to do everyday that we only slept in the room and for that it was ok. Next time though, we'd choose a different hotel."

"We stayed here for a couple of nights. The apartment itself was very comfortable and modern. There is a gentleman who comes around in the evening from a local bakery and takes your order, which will be outside your door in the morning when you wake up with delicious, freshly baked goods. There is a restaurant at the top of the hill, but it is very basic. The only downside was that the swimming pool had signs saying 'silence,' and one particular woman, whom I assume lives in the complex, was complaining if the children made noise in the pool, being very angry and aggressive about this. So if you're traveling with children, they are not allowed to make noise in the pool. Good luck with that one!"

"Unfortunately, a huge disappointment – how is this place rated 4 stars? We have never felt so uncomfortable upon arrival at a hotel. Our first thought was to leave immediately. The only truly positive aspect is the fantastic location with its beautiful view of Lake Garda, especially during breakfast and from the garden. The rest left us speechless. The entire hotel appears extremely outdated and neglected. There are old, dirty carpets everywhere – even in the elevator. The smell in the elevator upon our arrival was so overpowering that it almost made us nauseous. Our room was also in a shocking state: worn and damaged doors and furniture, damaged flooring, and an overall lack of maintenance. There were noticeable dark patches and traces of mold in the corners of the bathroom. The toilet flush was partially broken and, when it did work, flushed so forcefully that residue reached the bottom of the lid. We were glad we had brought our own disinfectant. The whirlpool was dirty and clearly out of order, even though we experienced temperatures of up to 40°C. Why such an area isn't maintained and open to guests is completely beyond our comprehension. The service was nowhere near what we would expect from a 4-star hotel. At times, we weren't even greeted. The "new bar" on the waterfront was particularly disappointing: we waited for about 40 minutes without being served, while several employees stood behind the bar, engrossed in their phones. Most disturbingly, it seems no one is genuinely concerned about the hotel's condition. The location is fantastic and could be the foundation for a beautiful hotel – unfortunately, this potential is completely wasted. Our conclusion: definitely not a 4-star experience, and sadly, we cannot recommend it."

"We have been spending our holidays in this hotel for 8 years now. A small wedding favor with spotlessly clean rooms and common areas, a beautiful swimming pool with hydromassage areas, a special mention for the private spa and an excellent restaurant, especially fish-based, with generous portions also open to the outside public. Equipped with every comfort and with a lot of attention to the customer, pampered more than at home. Amazing breakfast with excellent products. But one thing above all must be mentioned: the kindness and helpfulness of the entire Zaglio family and their staff. They are all wonderful people always smiling and with an unparalleled love for their work. When you try this place, you will never change for others. It truly feels like family. Keep up the good work guys - you are wonderful!"

The reception is sub standard with one person dealing with the front desk and taking calls from the rooms including room service. Possibly someone in the little office who makes no attempt to come and help with either checkin or questions. The pool staff are very mixed with one very friendly and nice but one young man rather unhelpful and vey keen to ignore one with only two couples to serve which takes technique! Very bad wifi generally and almost nonexistent on the third floor. T V very poor with no news channels in English/American! Positives - Clean, very well situated, very good breakfast, good size rooms with hanging space and plenty of draws. Some quite easy tweaks at not a great cost from the management would improve things considerably."

"Stayed at this place for a couple of nights prior to our flight from Venice. Very quiet, large and beautiful territory with all kinds of sport activities. You can have a nice walk any time of day and night - the place feels very safe. It was such a pity that the outdoor pool was open but stone cold. I would love to have a swim. But it was partially compensated by indoor SPA. You need to book it and that`s an extra but the fascility is nice. The room was spacious and quiet. A kettle, mini fridge, hairdrier and everything provided. And breakfasts were amazing! Will definitely be back."

"We stayed for 8 nights in a triple type room.yThere were one double bed and a single bed with one side against the wall.The room was fairly compact.The air conditioner was fine during the day,however during the night it did not cool.We complained several times but the problem was not solved. The bed mattress was soft and saging in the middle, which made it uncomfortable. The breakfast was basic with no cooked food like fried eggs.You are not allowed to take any breakfast food items to your room without a charge, which is unusual since we have stayed in several hotels in Italy without this rule. The hotel location is very good since it is situated on a quiet street but only 3 minutes walk to central bus station and the beach areas."

The free bike hire was amazing and helped us explore Bardolino and Lazise on our first day. We especially loved the pool area, which was peaceful, spacious, and never crowded, with plenty of sun loungers available throughout our stay. We couldn't have asked for more and would highly recommend this hotel."
