Grand Hotel Fasano

This is a special place. Stunning property, meticulously maintained and managed, with genuinely warm service (not universally the case with 5* in Italy). Expensive but you get what you pay for. It’s superb. Only downside is that it’s a historic property and you need to accept - ideally, welcome - its quirks. But the things that matter - plumbing, electrics and HVAC - all work faultlessly.

An absolutely gorgeous hotel with excellent service. Our room was in the adjacent Villa Principe building and was beautifully appointed with stunning lake views; the main hotel and restaurant areas were all spotless and well maintained and every staff member greeted us warmly. A true highlight of our trip to Italy.

Hotel Grand Fasano was an absolute dream from start to finish. The views over Lake Garda were breathtaking—truly something out of a fairytale. Our room was exquisite: beautifully appointed, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The food and service were top-notch, with every meal feeling like a special occasion. What really stood out were the thoughtful touches for families: a fun candy bar in the lobby that our son adored, a pool with a slide and even a secret passage that added a sense of adventure. The spa was a peaceful retreat and the perfect way to unwind. Every detail, from the luxurious amenities to the warm, attentive staff, made our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to return!

This is a luxury oasis on Lake Garda. Hotel built in 1888, now an absolute gem located directly on the shore of Lake Garda. A lot of love, care (and money) has gone into the renovation to make this place so perfect. Kept in light beige colors throughout, the hotel exudes cleanliness, freshness and is bright and stylish. Amazingly the renovation has managed to keep some of the old features and classic feelings of an era gone by. An outside and indoor pool for those who do not wish to swim in the cooler waters of Lake Garda. Rooms in the main building with a balcony facing the lake are super comfortable and offer everything you could wish. Best of all a balcony and a superb view of the lake and the surrounding shorelines. Service is excellent and the hotel crew is very friendly, happy, and helpful. We had a delicious whole Branzino baked in foil at the Pescatore Restaurant. Breakfast on the sun-lit terrace with the magical views of Lake Garda is THE way to start a day! To round off the review a few constructive comments how an already perfect hotel could be further improved: * Our room on the Nord-end of the main building was directly over a staff rest (smoking) area where the loud conversation drifted up to our room when we tried to rest. Much worth was the clearing of empty bottles at 07.20am in morning resulting in a high-pitched sound waking us up. * The only untrained staff we encountered was in the basement way out to the pool where housekeeping boys nearly run over us with their laundry packed trolleys, nor slowing down nor greeting us. * We greatly disliked that men were allowed into the terrace/bar und breakfast areas in singlets exposing under arm area. Such outfits should be restricted to the gym/garden/pool area and are unbecoming of such an elegant hotel. * A real complaint concerns the food served on the bar/terrace. We ordered vitello tonnato. Veal was perfect, lean, and thinly sliced however there was no tonnato sauce - just plain mayonnaise! We also had a Caesar's salad which came with ordinary mayonnaise instead of a real Ceasar's dressing. Amazing that a hotel of such a class allows the chef to cut corners to such an extent. Finally, we extend our appreciation and thank you to all the wonderful staff at Grand Hotel Fasano. We shall return and also recommend the hotel to friends.

Visited twice. On the first occasion they delivered the wrong drinks order and on the second occasion they completely forgot our drinks order and we waited half an hour to get our drinks. More style than substance. One barman and twenty people delivering lemons and crisps. Oh but does have a beautiful view.
