Lovely on the outside but that is it. Reception staff are great. Worst PI hotel room I’ve experienced. Aircon didn’t work, fan in bathroom didn’t work, lights missing in bathroom and stagnant water dripping through. Water also gathering on ceiling. Smell of damp in full room was awful. Rooms not worth a fraction of what’s being charged.

Absolutely terrible place; I've stayed in better hotels in third world countries. the place was absolutely filthy, with stains down the walls, and bed, and mould all over the bathroom, with rotting door frames. We had to sleep in our clothes due to the dirty bed, and had a three hour drive home after just an hours sleep. people were smoking in their rooms so clearly the smoke alarms don't work My biggest complaint is how disgustingly they have treated my 82 year old mother, who hasn't been offer a penny after paying for a room and a suit for my sisters family. She has been called a liar and been left traumatised by the entire trip, which was supposed to be a joyous occasion as she gave my niece away at her wedding. This hotel isn't fit for farm animals, let alone charging £130 for a nights stay; they should be ashamed

I was disappointed with some aspects of my stay, the soap dispenser by the sink had rust marks on the top, the chair in the room had what appeared to be bleach stains on it and the general decor was in need of a refresh. The restaurant is no longer open to none residents and half the tables and chairs had been removed, the venue has lost its atmosphere and does not feel welcoming, the restaurant did not open until 6:30 so there was no chance of a mid day meal or a drink. I doubt that I will stay at this hotel in the future.

This Premier Inn was a very good choice for our 3 day visit to the Yorkshire Dales. On arrival, there was a large free car park and a friendly welcome from Reception. The staff were excellent, at Reception, around the hotel and in the restaurant. The room was clean, well furnished and quiet. The restaurant meals -breakfast and evening meal were fine and hot food cooked to order. This hotel is a good choice and is only a short walk from the village, station, and local attractions. The canal is next to it and there is a towpath that will lead you to Skipton if you walk the 5 miles.

The room is what you would expect with all PI hotels with staff welcoming and efficient. The dinner service was terrible due to lack of staff plus some food items were off the menu. The two members of front of house staff did their best to keep everyone happy but failed. Breakfast service was not much better with guests waiting to milk, fruit, bread to be topped up and for hot food to be served. The waste bins in the outside seating area were overflowing. Overall, it gave the impression that the hotel was preparing to close permanently. Not that we are worried because we will not return here.

Reasonable price in a standard Premier Inn Gargrave. Clean and staff were friendly and welcoming. Carpets look a bit tired, could do with a thorough clean or replacing. Also, the WiFi was very poor. In 2025, this should be standard and fast.

Great budget hotel in a beautiful location. Room was spotless as always in Premier Inns. There is a bar and restaurant next door but we hadn't made a booking and they were busy. We wanted to eat, so we walked to a nearby pub, less than a 10 minute stroll through the lovely quaint village. There's other pubs, restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. A short drive to Skipton or a long walk beside the canal. Kendal is about 40 mile away, making this a good stop off. There was free parking at the hotel, we just had to put our registration in a machine in reception. The girl that checked us is in was super friendly. 100% would stay here again.

Great staff, lovely breakfast, clean rooms, sadly whole hotel smelt "musty" and externally, was unkempt and overgrown, pub area looks "abandoned", shower tray silicone was mouldy, however, lovely setting, exactly what you expect for a premier inn room, great value, just let down by items above, without such great staff, the place would.flounder.

Went with a group of cycling buddies. Hotel has gone down the pan. Kiddies play area gone. Pub closed, now only open to residents at restricted times. So no access for early arrivals for drinks/ loos unless you pay £15 early check-in to use the loo!. Group booking caused chaos at check- inn as the names for rooms had not been passed to hotel. Bedroom window could not be opened. Evening meal took 2 hrs to arrive, they "lost" the order. Lukewarm & very average. Didn't eat in evening there again. Continental breakfast OK, but things ran out, slow to be replaced. Totally ran out of honey 4 days in, next day no porridge or orange juice left. Had to ask for pan au Chocolat one morning, non out. 3 days to get a fan. 1st morning requested a room clean it simply did not happen. Had to go to reception for dry towels. They did it after that when requested but to varying degrees- bins not always emptied etc. Standard of cleaning was poor. It used to be a lovely hotel & pub. The bean counters running premier inn now have no idea what customers want. If my next stay at a different PI in June is as bad I will be ditching them as a place to go. Very short staffed, although the few staff they had were pleasant & helpful.
