Hotel Tikar

"Just outside Garrucha you could easily miss it driving by. A must to eat here where you receive a warm welcome from Sean and his wife. A native American who now lives in Spain. Sean is wine connoisseur who has a wine shop in the hotel/restaurant. The restaurant is tasteful decorated and very nice. We usually eat outside in the garden which has a banana tree and small pool. The food is delicious and a must to eat here. There are music nights and wine tours organised by Sean too. I recommend the seafood chowder as a starter. We have eaten here a few times now and look forward to more. We've not stayed in the hotel though. It's worth booking!"

Hostal Cervantes Playa

"The Hostal is amazing, more towards a hotel experience in my view. The pictures tell the story , the reception is 24 hour. Rooms are large, full walk in shower. Place is spotlessly clean. The location is perfect, I was able to park free of charge in the road along the beach road. However there is a slightly closer (50 yards rather than 150 yards) secure underground public car park which is well priced. I only had to park there a couple of times cost seemed to be around €1 an hour."

Hotel Mexico

"You guys at Trip should already know that I requested an extra bed for my 11-year-old son on May 3rd. A month later, upon arriving at Hotel Mexico, the director rudely informed us that they don't have extra beds and that their apartments are for that purpose. She said there were no triple rooms available and that you (Trip) never sent them the special requests, even though I received an email from you confirming that you had. Both Trip and Hotel Mexico have ruined my vacation. I'm still waiting for a supervisor from your company to call me, as the customer service operator told me someone would call back in 15 minutes, acknowledging that it was urgent and I was already at the accommodation. Both your company and the management of that hotel are absolutely awful. By the way, some people won't be able to sleep peacefully in many of the rooms where the terrace is barely 2 meters above the sidewalk of a public street."
