We had a family room and my parents had a double room. It was a double celebration trip as my man’s 50th and parents anniversary. The rooms were lovely and cosy and warm. Shower and bath great. Tea and coffee in rooms. The rooms were tidied and cleaned also. Breakfasts were phenomenal! Cooked well and good selection of cereals and juice. A special thanks to the owner I think her name was Patricia. Who gave my man a bottle of wine, my parents a bottle of wine and our son a box of sweets as we were leaving for our celebrations. So kind as were the rest of the family. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will be back! ❤️

Lovely people who own it but this hotel is a health hazard. Very very dated, unclean and old. The breakfast was nice. It was overpriced for a night considering the standards they hold. I really felt I couldn’t complain directly as the people were lovely but if you are wanting a pleasant sleep in a room that is acceptably clean, this will not be the place for you. Not safe for children, the room had considerable damp, very poor decoration, springy mattress, unfit shower, windows were a health hazard with the amount of mould, dust and dirt. Bed linen was clean as were towels and carpet felt clean but the bathroom was very dirty and unsanitary. Such a shame because the owners were lovely but they must either not see what is wrong or not have the capacity to fix it. The noise at night from the sister bar was horrendous and the people in the courtyard had no regard for any residents or hotel guests. This could be a beautiful hotel in a prime area but sadly, it is old, tired, dirty and very dated and decrepit.

Been here quite a few times, a bit dated but spotlessly clean. Staff are amazing and very friendly. Breakfast is really good and you can "build your own" from the menu. Great party was happening in the bar next door on Saturday night and on Friday a fantastic folk group came in "to rehearse" brilliant! Always enjoy our stays here and there is plenty to see in the area.

Enjoyed my stay and the food at the Imperial. The rooms are tidy and clean and suited me fine as I like things unchanged - as much as possible. With TV, tea-making, dressing table and chair, ample hanging and drawered storage, but the bit I loved most - the bath. Long soak after my long drive felt great! The bathroom, like the bath, spotless. And after a good nights sleep, waking thinking it could not get any better, breakfast - one word: tasty! Then off round old shop-fronts on new shops - super! Overall a decent, dated hotel and by that I mean not a "Spa Hotel" (did your hear me spit the term out)? Give me old and rock-steady every time. As for the locality, pleasant wolks and a break from the "modern" norm - would recommend.

Wonderful old hotel with plenty of character, traditional bar in a great location. Lovely welcoming staff and a great Scottish breakfast! Plenty room for parking at the rear of the hotel.

Amazing place! Staff simply can’t do enough for you. Sat outside in the sun and got looked after like VIPSs. Staff going round the tables making sure everyone was ok and bringing water bowls out for all the dogs. Good, honest and value for money. What more could you want!

If you want bland corporate decoration and hospitality, don't come here. If you want warm, friendly attention, do come here! Combined with good central location, off street parking and great undercover space for motorbikes, what more do you want? OK, perhaps there are a few issues with missing lightbulbs, cobwebs, damp patches. However all the important things are clean and functional. Plus, and it's a big one, superb breakfast, best tattie scones outside East Fortune! Thanks Heather!

Very comfortable, clean and quiet. Excellent bar facilities and breakfast. Ideally situated in the main street with a good selection of eateries close by. Also close to 3 supermarkets - Tesco, Audi and Scotmid. Ideal for tourists who wish to visit Dumfies and Galloway via the A75.
