Beds and housekeeping were great, staff friendly. Airco broken in both our rooms. We’d seen a review that someone also had problems before. Should have been fixed or worked on. One fridge did not work. Breakfast okay but more than an hour before it closed, some products were not stocked anymore because it was ‘late’. A la card dining was not possible on several nights due to there being ‘bus-guests’ who got a walking buffet. Bar often not visibly open, no snacks available other then wasabi nuts.

Central location for access to the centre of Essen. Parking opposite and various shops and restaurants in walking distance. Comfortable and modern like all NH. Room a bit warm and didn’t seem possible to adjust.

Business travel for Euroshop. Liked my stay and did not feel as formal as a hotel. Breakfast was good, warm breakfast was ok but got boring after the 3rd day. Staff helpful. I will go back to this hotel. Taxis and trains close to hotel. Rooms clean and bedding nice white linen. Good experience

Das Stay Hotel ist eine Preiswerte Alternative um in Essen zu übernachten. Zum Bahnhof und zur Stadtmitte mit seinen vielen Restaurants und Bars sind es nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß. Sauberes Zimmer ausgestattet mit Flach TV, Klimaanlage, Wasserkocher mit kostenlosen Kaffee und Tee Angebot. MANKO: Leider gibt es keinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Und auch das Boxspringbett ist gewöhnungsbedürftig!! ( Sehr weiche Matratze). Das kleine Bad hat nur eine Milchglastür zum zuschieben, so muss man sehr vertraut miteinander sein muss. Sehr lobenswert ist allerdings das Frühstücksbuffet!!! Es fehlt so gut wie an nichts und auch der Kaffee ist Excelent. Auch das Personal sehr ist sehr freundlich so das man das Stay Hotel bedingungslos Weiterempfehlen kann.

The hotel is new and therefore in the best condition. The rooms are small but handy and equipped with everything you need to stay. From the train station you are walking in 5-10 minutes here. No street noise, as best isolated windows. Special highlight: the varied breakfast!

The average Vd Valk feels only then Sheraton. By the name of this hotel, you expect a high-class hotel (for the price certainly) friendlyly received and helped at the reception and after check-in as the bags taken from the car that stood under the hotel's parking garage. It remains special that you have to pay for parking at a hotel. Certainly with the current hotel prices, this may be free and does not feel guest-free. The room was beautifully large (but a place to get the bag was not there so only on the ground. In this modern time you expect to be able to connect a laptop, Chrome cast or anything to a TV, however, it was so closely timing with their own system that there was Nothing was possible. If the TV broadcasts were still international, but very many Germans with one single English broadcast there. On day 1 at breakfast (which is possible in weekend until 11:00) The first day no one was at the entrance and the servants ran almost running to clean the tables. When you walk in at 10 a.m. you expect the bread baskets to be just kept full, this was not the case immediately. Day 2 was even more strange. We went through because no one was standing but a servant came almost to us, pressing a sheet with a pen in the hand, and calling for something to fill, and I had to put my name, my room, my signature, and we don't know why. But even more strangely, not as it should be, but put the sheet on the desk but no one who took it right away and so there was a name and signature so for grip! And now again, two small special breads and only when we were almost resurrecting to walk away, there were some new croissants, all together, not more than a costly average hotel that I had not expected from a hotel with this name.

We were with friends to visit the Christmas market in Bochum and booked the G Hotel. At the telephone reservation we had asked for a disabled room for our friend as she is a wheelchair driver.. At the arrival at the hotel we received 2 rooms directly adjacent (class!) All were enthusiastic about the equipment. Modern generous rooms with large bathrooms and also, according to our friend, one of the best hotels we have left recently. We have been very well sleeping in the good beds (unfortunately the wakker sounded again early). Nice bar area with small snack offer for the evening sound. Very good breakfast, a large selection of buffet, very good quality, especially the bakery! Now the (small) shortcomings: The electronic check-in at home on the PC, or even directly on the screens did not work without the help of the staff. However, the reception is very friendly and helpful and supports check-in.. After visiting Starlight Express Musical in the evening, we returned to the hotel's large parking, which was completely loaded. Even the two disabled parking places were (legal) located. But also in this situation, the staff acted very well and we parked the car shortly before the wastehouse and later on a free parking space. Concluded: a great hotel in an acceptable distance from the city centre (strain stop right in front of the hotel). We will surely come back!

Always a good stay. Sometimes, during the night a little bit noisy, but is nothing. Next to the city centre, next to a shopping center, next to good restaurants, free parking in a garage and in the street... What else :)

Viel Schatten, wenig Licht es gibt in diesem Hotel zwei verschiedene Kategorien: Standard und Superior wir hatten Superior gebucht. Am Samstag bei Anreise wurden wir sofort gebeten, die Zimmerrechnung zu bezahlen. Das ist ungewöhnlich, aber ok. Als wir dann das Zimmer betraten, stellen wir fest, dass wir eine falsche Kategorie bekommen hatten. Also zurück zur Rezeption. Die junge Dame war völlig überfordert und bestätigte, dass wir ein Standardzimmer bekommen hatten und kein Superior. Sie holte sich Hilfe bei Herrn F. Welche Funktion er hat, wissen wir nicht. er hat sich nicht vorgestellt. Allerdings schaute er in den Computer und sagte, dass er jetzt am Samstag Abend nichts mehr tun könne, das Hotel sei ausgebucht. Als Kompensation und Entschädigung würde er uns für den folgenden Morgen zum Frühstück einladen, und ein Zimmerwechsel am nächsten Tag. Mehr könne er für uns nicht tun. Damit war das Gespräch für ihn beendet und wandte sich wieder seiner Restaurantkasse zu. Nach unserer Auffassung ist dieses Verhalten Betrug. Er hatte unser Geld schon kassiert. Für 2 Nächte Superior Zimmer! Am nächsten Morgen sprachen wir dann mit einer netten Kollegin an der Rezeption. Frau M. war im Gegensatz zu ihrem Kollegen kompetent und handlungswillig. Sie organisierte den Zimmerwechsel, erstattete den zuviel bezahlten Superioraufschlag und eine Kompensation für die gestörte Nachtruhe. Der Unterschied zwischen Standard und Superior ist die Lage: Hauptverkehrsstrasse und Innenhof. und wir hatten ausdrücklich Innenhof bestellt. Nach der positiven Überraschung an der Rezeption der zweite Schock: das Frühstück. Das Hotel wird durch die Lage zum Musical vornehmlich von Busgruppen frequentiert. Wir hatten uns schon erst zu 10 Uhr für das Frühstück vorbereitett, um dem Ansturm der Busgruppen aus dem Weg zu gehen. Aber es war eine Katastrophe! Die drei Servicekräfte waren heillos überfordert. Schlachtfeld trifft es wohl am Besten. und keiner der Mitarbeiter war in der Lage etwas Ordnung in das Chaos zu bringen. Wenn Sie irgendwie können, suchen Sie sich ein anderes Hotel! Und wenn Sie es schon nicht vermeiden können, dann buchen Sie unbedingt Superior. Erstens ist an Schlaf bei Zimmern der Standardkategorie zur Strassenseite nicht zu denken und zweitens finden Sie dort eine Einrichtung, die wohl noch aus dem 70er Jahren stammt. Die Superiorzimmer sind zur ruhigen Hofseite und sehen aus, als wenn sie in den 90er Jahren mal renoviert wurden. (auch schon 30 Jahre her....) Selbst die Nähe zum Musicaltheater macht es nicht erträglicher. Das Musical selbst ist auch nach 30 Jahren immer noch eine Reise wert!
