We booked this to have a quiet and peaceful place but unfortunately this didnt work out, there were multiple problems. a) upon checkin the room we have been assigned had a bad stench b) we got another room, but that one wasnt ready so we had to wait around again c) the replacement room was a DOWNGRADE and very hot d) we couldnt keep the windows open because the room faced the restaurant which was filled with drunk noisy people until 11pm e) at 6am someone cleaned in the restaurant and made a lot of noise The breakfast was very standard, the website suggests much more and better quality. Overall all we got was a sorry, nothing was offered, and were charged a absurd price for basically receiving a night of bad sleep and general unhappiness. From the many many hotels I stayed in the last months and my life this goes into the Top 5 Worst Experiences.

Great little hotel situated very close to the motorway. Very high standard of service and restaurant. This was our second trip as we wanted to visit Salzburg for the day without taking our car into the city. The train station is beside the hotel. The receptionist organised our tickets with a city map for the next morning. It was all so easy and pleasant. 30minutes on the train and we were in central Salzburg. Returning in the evening to a very good dinner served by professional and welcoming waiters was icing on the cake.

An exceptional place to stay. The staff are so helpful and professional, the restaurant a joy and location perfect for anyone wishing to visit Salzburg by train or just close to the motorway. The concierge had train tickets and a map of the city waiting for us in the morning and after a good filling breakfast we boarded the train where the station is beside the hotel. 30min later we were in central Salzburg and spent a fabulous day sightseeing meandering around gardens, buildings and streets.

We've stayed many places in Europe but this is tops for quality and great values. Lovely people and restaurant and the longstay rooms 4 star clean and comfy with everything you need including a kitchen set up. Smoke free and quiet and calm. Situated 15 klms south of Salzburg on the S3 train line in Bad Vigaun, Langwies is next door to the train station. Our room was on the corner closest but with the windows closed you barely notice the sound. AC is very good. You can hop on the train or bus by walking 30 metres out the door. In Salzburg in 28 minutes. OOB S3 is 4.4 Euro for a senior with a Vorteilscard (ordered on line from OBB before we left Australia). Langwies is only 1.5 hours away from Hallstatt and 30minutes to 1 hour from a variety of destination up the mountains and or down the train line into the Alps. Munich is a little over 2 hours away by train so 30 minutes to Salzburg then catch the DB RE05 train to Munich (use the Deutschland ticket and ride with no ticket for a month). Langwies is a family highly competently run business which will not disapp0oint. It was far beyond our expectation and the longstay apartment are wonderful, generous and it was our home away from home for 5 weeks. Go here!

We stopped here again on our way back to Croatia. The hotel is still very nice, everything is perfect, and the service is excellent. The dinner was incredibly delicious and the portions were very generous. The service in the restaurant was very attentive. Overall, everything was very nice, and we would be happy to come back. Otherwise, read the 2023 review.

Business meeting, great food, I ask for a quarter of red wine. The waiter offers Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and a Sicilian cuvée, which I opted for! But €40 for an eighth, totaling €160 for half a liter of wine, I have no idea what that means—the waiter should have pointed that out for such an expensive wine! Honestly, I feel completely ripped off.

Wunderschönes Hotel,für kurze oder lange Aufenthalte.Sehr schöne Zimmer mir tolle Aussicht.Großartige Küche in eigenem Restaurant,da bleiben keine Wünsche offen.Wir hatten Glück und haben Wildwochen erwischt.Es war Exzellent.Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend,man fühlt sich sehr wohl,sehr gut aufgehoben.Die Umgebung ist großartig,lädt zum wandern,nicht weit sind wunderschöne Majestätische Berge,Wälder und atemberaubende Gollinger Wasserfall.Sehr zum empfehlen,wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Mooie grote kamer met goede matrassen en mooi uitzicht op het landschap. Treinstation is achter het hotel en zodoende een prima verbinding met Salzburg.(30min.) In tegenstelling tot andere commentaren vonden wij het diner zeker geen hoogstaand cuisine en neem nooit een Creme Brulee. Deze werd vakkundig om zeep geholpen met ijs. Desondanks was het restaurant s’avonds goed bezet met gasten. Bij aankomst op zondag is er een “Ruhe Tag” en kregen we een suggestie om te eten in Jadorferwirt in het plaatsje Kuchl (5km)van Bad Vigaun. Dit restaurant was een verademing qua cuisine en is zeer aan te bevelen om daar te gaan eten. Reserveren is aan te bevelen.

grundsätzlich ok, neues Zimmer, Bettwäsche und Handtücher schon mitgenommen und auch ausgefranzt. Schade. Frühstück ok, aber auch nicht herausragend. Service sehr freundlich. Lage an der S Bahn sehr praktisch. Tennencard und Salzburg Karte inklusive bei der Pauschale.
