Eingebettet in einer Traumlandschaft haben wir eine Nacht verbracht. Das Abendessen war eine Auswahl traumhafter österreichischer Traditionsküche zu wirklich fairen Preisen. Nach einer erholsamen Nacht haben wir uns an einer breiten Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet gütlich getan. Hervorzuheben die regionalen Käseprodukte von Schaf & Ziege.

Als Ausgangspunkt für die Yspertalklamm ausgezeichnet, mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Auch der Druidenwanderweg führt direkt am Haus vorbei. Zimmer sind großzügig, obwohl etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten das Arrangement mit 5-Gang Dinner mit Weinbegleitung und Brennereibesichtigung gebucht: ein tolles Erlebnis! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, liebevoll angerichtet, mit Vorspeisen- und Nachspeisenvariation. Auch Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig, mit selbstgemachten Marmeladen etc. Der relativ neue Weinkeller ist sehr sehenswert, nach der Führung durch die Brennerei wurde uns auch hier noch ein guter Tropfen kredenzt. Familie und Personal freundlich, ein schönes Erlebnis.

Nicht sehr oft findet man heute noch einen reinen Familienbetrieb bei dem die Aufgaben so perfekt verteilt sind und auch ebenso funktionieren. Mutter Martina kreiert alleine (!) eine bodenständige, originelle und vielfältige Küche mit modernem Touch und Liebe zum Detail. Vater Hans gehört zu den besten Schnapsbrennern Europas, und Sohn Lukas macht das Service und ist wie sein Vater auch Sommelier. Dazu kommt ein architektonisch grandioser Kuppel(wein)keller. Die Schnapsverkostungen sind ein Erlebnis, das fünfgängige Menü mit Weinbegleitung der feinsten Art ein Ereignis, das alles zu absolut moderaten Preisen. Saubere, dem Begriff Landgasthof entsprechende Zimmer erledigen das Problem Alkoholkontrolle. Und das landschaftlich einladende Yspertal rundet den Wohlfühlcharakter des Aufenthaltes ab.

Wir haben hier ein verlängertes Wochenende verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterbringung und Gastronomie. Die Küche ist auf Top-Niveau, jeder findet hier etwas für seinen Gaumen. Die Weinkarte lässt auch keine Wünsche offen. Sehr empfehlenswert
