I had a wonderful stay at Casavia. The staff were very accommodating and both the rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal place for remote workers. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The hostel is convenient for longer stays. There is a kitchen but I didn’t use it. The bunk is pretty comfortable and there is enough space for luggage. The sinks and showers were not clean enough. The location is good it’s not far from the beach and surfing spots. There is a dining area but the pork was dry, it’s better to go somewhere else, delicious chocolate cookies tho. There are some dogs and cats that live there as is common all over the Philippines. While I was staying there one girl was bitten by a kitten and she had to fly to Manila to get a vaccine. I think the owners should have these animals vaccinated because they live there all the time. I also noticed a lot of symmetrical red spots on my thighs after two nights there. I told the staff, they checked my bunk but didn’t find any insects. I am not sure that It was bed bugs but still, it didn’t look like mosquito bites.

One of the worst experiences, not because of the hotel or the staff but because of the other guests. There's a courtyard facing the rooms where all noise can be heard including a large dog barking constantly. People in rooms above running around stomping the floor nonstop. The room was like a tin can, all noise echoed. I complained at 12am in morning to the staff whom I think tried to do something, but unsuccessfully. These party goer's were running that resort out of control. Honestly there were a lot of other bad things but there's no need to say more. Thanks to the staff who tended to me when I had a fever, ironically that fever is probably the only reason I got any sleep.

Near cloud 9, close to general luna. Nice place, I stayed for a week I’d recommend.

I chose this hostel based on YouTube recommendation. Location is perfect, very close to Cloud 9 and Jacking horse surf shop (where i took surfing classes). It's not very noisy area, quite secluded from nearby shops and hotels. Which is perfect. Carlos at the reception was very very helpful and friendly. I took all the recommendations on restaurants, shops, laundry places. You can also rent a bike from the hotel. Besides there is a good community, they organize pizza nights, outings together, which is super fun if u are travelling alone and want to make friends. People that stay in this hostel are mostly Europeans. I did not have issues with sleeping in a room, everyone was respectful and clean. Bed has a curtain for privacy, light, locker and quite enough space. Showers are clean and i was lucky with hot showers. Overall, very good experience and def would come back again.

I had a good time at Casavia Siargao. The location is ideal if you want to surf at Cloud9: you can walk there in 5 minutes, and it's much quieter than General Luna but still close enough if you want to spend the night eating/partying there. The private room was pretty nice and spacious, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom could use some love, but still it was ok. The staff is nice and always willing to help, and the hostel has several social nights organised via a Whatsapp group. While I didn't take part in those events, it's a convenient way to meet other travellers. My only remark was about the noise: my room was facing the upstairs social area and, despite the signs specifying the quiet time (22pm onwards) and also a 500PHP fine for people not respecting it, every night I had people making phone calls, playing the guitar or shouting loudly after midnight (or later) in front of my room and there was nobody around to remind to keep the voice down. That was annoying.
