Hotels near Geneva Airport, Geneva

This is a lower budget airport hotel option but they pleasantly surprised me with good things. Having stayed at 10 previous hotels on this trip, this was hands down the most comfortable linen and bed. Really comfortable. Convenient to the airport naturally but be aware if your flight leaves outside their shuttle times, you have to find your own way. I was able to walk but if it rains, or is dark and you have luggage, you would struggle. The breakfast was exceptional for someone with diet restrictions. There is good signage, the staff were well informed to help me with non-dairy milk. I was super impressed (photo attached). I stayed in a city hotel later in the month in Geneva and I was yearning to come back to this hotel, so that says something. Well done Ibis. This will make me consider Ibis all around the world now.

It's so easy to write a review when the issues identified in the review of a previous stay last year remain uniformly the same. And since the hotel at that time wrote, ”you can be assured that your remarks will be discussed with our team so that your next visit will give you complete satisfaction”, but obviously did nothing, it seems fair to deduct another star from the rating. It's a pity, but I don't see why the blatant lie should be overlooked. So, copying word-for-word from my last review, ”almost all [problems] concerned breakfast, where the potatoes were tough and dry, where the buffet included no fish products (no lox, no hering, no whitefish) and no mushrooms, where the selection of bread was like that of a two- or at most three-star hotel.” Yes, it's exactly the same now as it was then. There are no other significant deficiencies at this property, overlooking the fact that it is a bit dated overall (though in good shape as far as I could see). Positives include: - Breakfast open from 05:45, this already sets the hotel apart - Gym fully equipped and open 24 hours; there is even apparently a pool - Room was large, with both a bathtub and a shower stall - Easily walkable from the airport (signage not perfect in a couple of spots) - Executive lounge food selection in the evening not very inspiring, just managed to be adequate Really, the hotel should address the deficiencies related to breakfast AND not dishonestly imply that you're going to but then fail to.

Structure located about seven minutes by taxi from the airport and outside the center however easily reachable with trams 14 and 18 taking both 50 metres from the hotel and with only 15 minutes bring you to the full Bel Air stop center from where you can It is already at the foot of the historic centre and the lake, and the structure is renovated by restructuring, but I think it is very disorganized and certainly needs to be improved in many respects. The rooms are more than comfortable with king size double bed, unfortunately not in Italian but with sack-size peelings. A comfortable bathroom with a large shower where bidet is obviously absent, a large bathroom with a 4-star big shiabat is missing and there are no drinks in the refrigerator except a bottle of water that can be found on the table at the arrival. Unfortunately, they left to wish cleaning and worse the second day they had not even made the room to clean it (in 10 minutes!!!) on ns request around 18.00 and I leave room for imagination on the level of cleaning made. Breakfast is both sweet and saloon-acceptable and with a variety of proposals. We found a boy who was also speaking Italian very propens to give information, friendly and also available in the breakfast room. Check In and Check Out too slow and yet with few people waiting for this due to the presence of one operator, a situation that we also noticed in the tours of the so-called stay. I think it is a good solution for those who want to spend much less than the facilities in the centre, even for the simple and fast connection to the tram this latter how buses can be used entirely free by making themselves the reception tickets worth all the stay Vs.

What a fabulous city, gorgeous hotel central to the main sights so clean no rubbish no dog dirt , great food service and friendly locals Geneva has a wonderful tourist travel card all trams buses and the train that goes directly to the airport are included you need to be aware that there is a tourist tax to pay around 9 Swiss francs per person, well worth it

Wonderful Hotel, exterior and interior design are amazing, I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights from July 12 to July 17th 2023, location is convenient to me since there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel taking us directly to Geneva downtown daily, the breakfast was very good and well organized, rooms are clean and overlooking a beautiful landscape. Yulia the General Manager is so professional as well as her entire team, well done to all the hotel team members and for sure I will stay in this hotel again during my next visit to Geneva.

The location is very good, the room can see Lake Geneva and the Jet d'Eau Fountain, but parking is inconvenient, there is no parking lot, you have to park in a public parking lot far away, or in a parking space in the courtyard, you can park for up to 2 hours at a time, and pay a parking fee every 2 hours, about two to three hundred RMB a day. And the house price is several times that of the Ritz-Carlton in Berlin~

We stayed as a family in a top floor corner suite. We had excellent views of the snow falling on Avanchet and across to the airport. The hotel is very well equipped for an extended stay with the suite having a dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator and coffee maker. The suites are well designed with good lighting and heating control and effective black out curtains. Downstairs there is a well equipped gym with Technogym gym machines and free weights. We didn’t try the sauna, but it looked well set up. The hotel provides breakfast and has supplies of provisions like pasta sauces and wines to make in your own room, should you choose. The hotel provides a voucher for free and easy travel on the tram which can take you into the city and with connections, anywhere in Europe. The best feature by far was the helpful staff, all with a friendly and helpful service attitude. Especially helpful was Maria in housekeeping and Christeen (from Tahiti) on the front desk.

The Geneva Marriott is an attractive, contemporary hotel located roughly near the airport, and since the shuttle doesn't run that often, you might be better off making the walk, as I did. For me it was a matter of some 20 minutes, but depending on your starting point at the airport, it could easily be less. Much closer to the hotel is the quite large Balexert shopping mall at 7 or 8 minutes' walk. The center of town can be also be walked to, as the way is rather straightforward, though it is noticeably farther than the airport, making the trams that stop very close to the hotel an option. Of course you will have to ask for your free Geneva public transport card, as the hotel makes no mention of these at its own initiative. I liked the fact that I was offered a late checkout immediately on arrival. I didn't like hearing that breakfast is available to platinum Marriott Rewards members in the executive lounge only, a marked departure from standard practice elsewhere in Europe - not just at Marriotts, but also, for example, at their large American competitor also located near the airport. As it was, when I was ready for breakfast on the morning of my one-night stay, it turned out that something had gone wrong and as a consequence, breakfast was offered only in the restaurant. The assortment there was between good and very good, which I'm sure wouldn't have been the case in the lounge. The lounge had already disappointed the previous evening. I went shortly before 18:00 just to make sure that food would still be available when I was expecting to have the time, just after 19:00. The employee said yes, but there was virtually nothing left when returned; she might have had the courtesy to mention that they would stop replenishing dishes, but this would have required some thought from the guest's perspective. The gym was not so great, either; from a large and modern Marriott I'd expect better. All in all, acceptable, but if breakfast in the lounge is as meager as I suspect, then I would probably not favor this property.

Nicely located, clean and comfortable, all necessities for a solo traveler on a business trip. Would stay here again next time.
