La Cour des Augustins Hotel

We booked for 2 nights with the family at a rate of €500 per night plus parking €20. This is NOT A 4 star hotel. More like 2 stars at a 5 star price. The room was smelly and dirty. The couch was torn and dirty, and the toilet looked like someone just took a dump, all brown. The lobby/reception also smelled like bad fish. The yard had broken furniture. When arriving late at night I could open the doors at two entrances without needing a key. Also the door to the yard could not be properly locked. This is really a security concern. Especially considering the neighborhood did not seem that good. We left immediately and when we wanted to leave but the gate didn’t open. It was very hard to reach the manager after multiple attempts to call him. Eventually he picked up and said that the gate for the car park could not be opened after 22.00. After insisting he opened the gate. We felt locked in. The manager also lied to *********** that we didn’t ask him to cancel.

We orignally booked this hotel for july 2020. Due to the covid pandemic the trip was postopned. When we rebooked in July 2022 our credit was still valid The staff were extremly friendly and helpful. Great location. Big room, seperate closet and even a small kitchenette.

I was surprised by the size of the room, although I requested a bed, when I arrived, the staff had already prepared an extra bed at no cost. Breakfast was as expected · - Spacious room - Diverse breakfast - Quiet area - - Very friendly staff - Daily cleaning

Spent four days at La Cour des Augustins while attending a conference, and we were absolutely delighted with the setting, service and location. The owner and staff were welcoming and gracious, consistently going well above and beyond to ensure that every detail was exactly to our liking. Common areas are lovely, with much African art and comfortable seating areas. Our suite was enormous, including a full kitchen and living room, tastefully decorated and spotless. Sleep quality was great, as it was absolutely silent, in spite of being on a busy street. The location could not be better—it’s steps from just about everything, including excellent (and free!) public transportation. In all, a true home away from home! Recommend very highly!

I appreciated ·the breakfast, that was quite consistent, the cleanliness of the hotel, the complete observance of the rules of distance and hygiene, the location of the hotel in the vicinity of the emblematic objectives of the city and the price that was more than reasonable determine me to return with pleasure.
