Edenwood Hotel

Had a pretty good stay at Edenwood Hotel. The hotel was clean overall, and the aisles were quite well lit. Check-in was also smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was fairly spacious and came with all the basic amenities you’d expect, including conditioner, which was a nice bonus ;). One thing to note is that there’s only one lift in the hotel. It wasn’t an issue during my stay, but I can imagine it getting a bit troublesome when the hotel is very busy. The biggest downside for me was the noise. Both the air conditioning and exhaust fan were quite loud, and the sound had a noticeable frequency that could be uncomfortable for some people, especially if you’re sensitive to noise. The bathroom was also quite small. The basin is located outside the toilet, while the shower area itself is rather cramped. The glass partition makes the space feel even tighter, so this could be a concern for people with a larger body size, especially if you tend to use the overhead shower. One nice bonus is that if you’re planning to visit Entopia in the morning, the hotel can provide a 20% discount code for admission. Overall, a clean and reasonably comfortable hotel with friendly staff and good amenities, but the noisy air conditioning and relatively small bathroom are worth keeping in mind.

The bathroom equipment’s storage rack above the basin, as well as the toilet roll holder, is made of metal. Because the metal is so sharp and thin, it cut into my skin and caused bleeding. (This has been fed back to the receptionist, and to the management team. They have nothing to do with it, so please do not penalize them.) The air conditioning compressor unit is also located outside the window, and its operating sounds at night could not be soundproofed by the window, which may cause unpleasant sleep for light sleepers. The car park area can fit around 6-7 cars. When it’s full, you can either park at the paid parking area 50m ahead or park roadside, but keep in mind the risk of a summon for illegal parking. Lastly, kudos to the reception team. They are friendly and professional, especially the guy with spectacles.

This was an excellent hotel for me. I stayed here for two nights. The service was great; the staff were attentive and very helpful. All the reception staff were lovely and provided excellent service. Importantly, the accommodation is new and very clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the hotel uses high-quality pillows. The hotel's decor is simple but luxurious. We stayed in a twin room. We highly recommend this accommodation. It's conveniently located near tourist attractions such as George Town, street art, Chew Jetty, and the famous Chendul (a local dessert shop). It's also easy to get to Penang Hill and Kek Lok Sri Temple (a beautiful Chinese Temple) temple located near Penang Hill. Calling a Grab taxi in Penang is very easy and not expensive, especially if you're traveling in a group (people here drive very fast!). You can walk to the main road to catch a bus, but the bus stop is a bit far. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel is worth its price with visitors with budget stay. It is close to centre as well and easy access to some hawker shop to enjoy local food. Besides, there is also a shop nearby to taste delicious durian. Overall, it is acceptable with its competitive price.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a very happy stay at Edenwood Hotel in Penang. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was very clean. We stayed in a twin room, and it was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping did a wonderful job every day. We requested room cleaning daily, and the room was always cleaned very thoroughly. I am truly very satisfied with this hotel. Although this is a 3-star hotel, the service feels like 4-star or even better to me. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Whenever we needed extra mineral water, they would quickly send it to our room. We received two bottles every day. The room amenities were also very complete — comb, razor, and everything we needed were provided. One special thing I want to mention is that the shampoo and body wash smelled really nice. We loved the fragrance very much! Overall, we had a very happy and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.
