Absolutely amazing, perfect inside... Clean... Best staff

My overall stay at Reunion Heritage House Penang was quite disappointing. The only positive was having Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, which made communication smooth and their service attitude was good. However, the room had numerous issues: the air conditioning was very ineffective, and given Malaysia's hot weather, the room was uncomfortably stuffy all night. The water pressure for showering was low, with only a weak trickle, making for a poor bathing experience. There were also a lot of ants in the room, and I frequently spotted small insects, posing a significant hygiene concern. The hotel's soundproofing was terrible; I could clearly hear conversations in the hallway, noises from the adjacent room, and street sounds from outside, which severely impacted my sleep. The facilities and cleanliness fell far short of expectations. I wouldn't recommend choosing this hotel.

I think it's pretty good, the whole hotel has a great atmosphere. The smell when you enter the room is lovely. How do I put it? It smells just like my grandma's old house where I used to stay as a child. It's a pleasant woody scent with an indescribable smoky fragrance. I really love this smell. I felt very comfortable staying here! Just a small request to the owner, please add a hairdryer. There wasn't one, and my hair wouldn't dry after showering, which gave me a slight headache.

Spent four nights in Penang and three in Kuala Lumpur, and Penang was an absolute winner, hands down better than KL! My 6-year-old daughter was already missing Penang before we even left. It would be perfect if Hangzhou had direct flights there. It's a small city perfect for leisurely exploring and eating. Most of the taxi drivers I encountered were Chinese and communication was effortless. Even the Malay drivers were incredibly warm and friendly. One day, I left my phone in a taxi on the way to the Pinang Peranakan Mansion, and the driver actually came back to return it to me – I was so touched! Penang, I'll definitely be back!

The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. There are also plenty of great food options and snacks nearby. The front desk staff, especially one lady, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready to assist with any issues. I booked one night and ended up extending my stay for another. Many thanks!
