Had a great stay like always. The grounds look beautiful. However just would like the kitchen to be better equipped. No measuring cups, bare minimum of plates, utensils, cups and glasses. No dish cloth or dish towels. We could not turn the kitchen faucet from side to side because it was frozen in place and when we pulled the faucet head to extend the hose, it was frayed and looked ready to break. Also a Keurig coffee maker wouldn’t cost that much. The safe was also broken. Just these small inexpensive upgrades would make our stay so much better.

Overall great vibes at this hotel. The staff were wonderful and the views were incredible as well. The beautiful landscaping complimented the pool and restaurant in the courtyard of the hotel. This is the perfect hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing time in the gorgeous Cayman Islands ☀️

Listen , I’ve read thru all the reviews and quite frankly , some of the low scoring ones aren’t really fair . I’ve been coming to GC for about a decade now . I’m titanium with Marriott / Ritz ., stayed both places more than once I’ve stayed at Kimpton, Westin, the condos at Caribbean Club ..etc . All of those places have had room issues at more than double the cost to stay , Ritz quadruple the cost per night. Staff issues run the gamut , as I could give you instances in all of those aforementioned places, with staff so out of touch and out of line , they should have been fired on the spot . The beach on 7 mile has very few spots to date , that are glistening and inviting like in the day . Recent storms and erosion have altered it in many stretches , so it’s not exactly stellar . The GC and HI are what they are . They don’t advertise as high end nor do they compete for that market segment . The rooms and 2 bedroom villas in both places are adequate, and the staff , minus a rogue employee , work with the amenities and property at large . 3 star properties , give you just that , occasionally above that in service and view . I chose to stay at both because I don’t care about jumping in the ocean or the need for Ferragamo toiletries , down pillows and Frette bedding . That’s not why I select these properties . I’m fortunate to be able to include nice things in my daily life so coming to GC is about the chill , vibe and the people I’ve come to know . There is a simple shuttle to get you onto the beach , plenty of beautiful views and the bar and restaurant are fun and equal to a good Neighborhood hang out . If your soending un

Every interaction positive, friendly and highest standard of service. Recommend using the Club Lounge. Very high quality of food and presentation by highly trained chefs. Sheets and bed so comfortable. Just make a hint of something and it will be fulfilled. Sad to leave the Ritz Carleton

The staff was so very helpful. Upon arrival our "oceanview" room was more golf course view. We asked to be moved and they were kind enough to do so. The grounds and landscaping were amazing. The disappointments came with the restaurant, the lack of beach area to go into the water and the overall location. We were on the wrong side of the island. The limited menu and quality of food was not good. The breakfast was ok but lunch and dinner were subpar. We wanted a lighter dinner and they said we could not order off the lunch menu. The shuttle service was nice to have but it was not available after 5:00pm so if you want to go to dinner or anywhere in the evening you had to get a taxi. The concierge in the lobby did not work for the hotel. The Monday we were there was her first day on the job and didn't have a clue to what she was doing. We got charged twice for a tour and still don't have that issue resolved after two weeks. So if location, dining, watching sunsets and beach are important to you, this is not where you want to be.

The hotel is below average. I paid to upgrade my room yet we were still disappointed. First timers to Cayman Island and I wish the hotel would have shared there is no sand beaches on their property. Black coral that is unwalkable. We had bugs in our room and they only cleaned our room once during our 7 day stay. Would never stay there again!!

I stayed at this resort for ten days. When I arrived the first room I was placed in had an unbearable moldy smell,it was an easy fix I was placed in another room that had a pool and partial ocean view. The food isn't bad not as good as the local restaurants in town.If you are looking to be near the beach and restaurants within walking distance this is not the hotel for you.If you don't have a car you can take the shuttle or a taxi which can be pricey. The staff is accommodating but I have to say Tevita is the star of the show!!! He is the hotel shuttle driver and he is extremely professional warm and kind hearted he deserves all the praise and glory! My stay here was pleasant.

In a country that is distinguished by its ability to provide luxury (anonymous banks, no property tax, no income tax, no inheritance tax) this hotel distinguishes itself from others by falling short. First, let me say, that the staff is very nice, and did what they could to be helpful and accommodating. They have been placed in a stranglehold by the managing company. All the little things that you expect from a resort are missing. First, the location. Billed as “adjacent to Seven- Mile Beach,” it is actually on the other side of the island from said beach, and basically a 2-mile walk from the Grand Caymanian. The hotel provides a free shuttle over to that beach, but it only runs on the hour, and you have to reserve a space. And it ceases to operate after the 5 PM bus. So if you do not have a rental car (expect to pay top dollar) or want to pay the exorbitant taxi prices on the island, you had better bring your running shoes. Now for the facility. There is only one restaurant that is moderately adequate, with prices of a more well-appointed one. The beach is small and mostly rocky with some sand added. The beach chairs have seen better days and if the hotel were fully booked, the number would be insufficient. The gift/incidentals shop is small and one pays for her purchase at the front desk. The pool towels are small for the purpose and not at all plush. The room: Ours had only one trash can that we had to move from the kitchenette to the bathroom. The clock radio had to be unplugged because it randomly made a buzzing/static sound and couldn’t be used. There was no paper or pen for writing info when booking reservations for outings or dinner. The bathroom floor stayed damp and slippery even when running the fan after showering. The faucet in one sink had a hot side with barely any flow and a cold side that gushed, sending water all over the countertop. In a room with two queen beds there was just one round table and one chair for sitting (though each bed did have its own nightstand). The very tiny closet had hanging space that was made tinier by the encroachment of the hanging space of the hot water apparatus. In short, if a deal sounds too good to be true, even if it is in the Caymans, I advise you to follow the old adage and spend a little more or don’t expect to get quite as much from your stay.
