Lovely place, my wife and I want to buy it and run it as it is because we noticed it has now closed down or something has happened we are not too sure about but we are going back next year to find out . Our stay here was the loveliest time of our lives and we fell in love with the place. Even leaving messages on the stones on the beach , we watched the sunrise too one morning which was spectacular

This was such a lovely place the owners were so nice and we had breakfast every morning but the only thing is we tried to book for next year and couldn’t so wondered if something had happened .there is also local shops to buy any food you want and we went self catering so lots of shops to buy stuff plus lots of restaurants near by

Just returned from a fantastic stay at these perfect apartment’s, we had one of our best holidays ever. The location is just perfect for a relaxing 2 weeks in the Greek sun, right on the beach the views are stunning. The apartment was great just what we needed, it had everything you needed for a chilled out holiday, and was kept immaculately clean by the very efficient cleaner who was such a joy every morning. Now to the owners Electra and her partner perfect hosts, Electra was lovely always smiling despite being busy and so friendly. The food served at the bar was amazing from breakfast to lunch cooked perfectly by Electra. Great cocktails and very nice wine also served at the bar. We met some lovely people while we were there, everyone is so friendly with it being a small apartment complex. We will definitely be back, we are missing waking up to the sound of the sea.

Avoid… Photos seamed to us the perfect hideaway but they were deceptive. You can cook meals in the apartment it says , but we only had a bread knife to cook with and only 1 bowl to eat cereal or yogurt from so we had to take turns.. kettle was hanging over the sink which was just dangerous. Usually you get a few things to clean with in most 3* accommodation but there was nothing here, not even a tea towel to dry with. No spare cupboard to put your food. No holders in the fridge to stop food falling out of the fridge door. No toaster. No cooking either Bathroom… almost every tile was cracked and this left sharp edges to be avoided. Shower head was loose and when it was put on the first time it did a great impression of a cobra and soaked me the bathroom floor, door kitchen and bedroom. Toilet ran ever time we flushed it. We were constantly taking the top off the toilet and fiddling with the inside of the toilet to stop it running all the time. The sink plug wouldn’t work so we had to take it out and just have running water. Bedroom. Good wardrobe space but the beds are so hard I ended up with my right shoulder so sore and my husband went to sleep in the living room as he couldn’t stand his back so sore. Living room. The 2 beds in the living room are so uncomfortable to sit on. No back support at all. The 2 cushions on each “sofa” were not big enough to provide you with support. Balcony was great with 2 Sun chairs. They were a little grubby but ok. We coped with the first 3 days but my hubby lost the safe key. When he went to tell reception about it there were 3 of them talking in their own language of course but the basically told him they would need to get a locksmith to sort it out. However next day they just handed us another key. They were having a good talk about us as we had complained to TUI. We then became very ill. Both of us had vomiting and diarrhoea for 3 days. We thought it was from constantly have to mess around with the plumbing. At the end of this we had just had enough. We moved to another 3* apartment and it was like chalk and cheese. This was for the last 3 days of our holiday. This is still advertised as a three star apartment it’s not . Only 1*

This is one of the loveliest places I’ve ever stayed. It’s not fancy, but it is clean, comfortable and has breathtaking views all round. The owners are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Right on the beachfront, with a gorgeous clean pool, we couldn’t have asked for more. Breakfasts and lunches looking out to sea, restaurants nearby for every taste. It was quiet, relaxed and safe. Lovely people staying there too, creating a great atmosphere. I’m sold and I’m coming back next year.

If you’ve read any of my other hotel reviews when I’ve been away, it’ll come as no surprise that I love this place. It’s everything I love about self-catering holidays in Greece. The appartments are clean and simple. Comfortable beds, enough equipment to cater for yourself (we didn’t - too many nice restaurants around for that!). The bathroom is basic and clean. Each appartment has a balcony etc etc But what really makes this perfect is the location. Right on the beach front. You can be sipping a drink by the pool one minute and literally within seconds be in the crystal waters of the Chania gulf. And it’s right away from any main roads. So it’s peaceful and quiet. As it doesn’t really cater to kids, it also seems to attract a more mature guest base. So again - peace and quiet! The pool is just right. Not too big and just right to cool off from the midday sun. And the pool bar has a nice range of drinks and snacks - all at reasonable prices. I recommend their Dakos. I would live off them! And then there’s the hotel team. Electra abd her husband basically. They’re incredibly friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. And as it’s just the 2 of them with a cleaner for around 14 rooms, they work like mad. How they keep a smile on their faces dealing with all our demands is beyond me. But nevertheless they’re absolutely lovely So in a nutshell, this is a real gem!

Booked this holiday pre Covid for July 2020. Several postponements later here we were late August 2022. It's been a while. Booked the place because we wanted somewhere quiet and close by the beach. This was both! It's old school Greece with basic apartment facilities and few frills. If you've been going to Greece for 40 years you get to know these kind of places and they are perfectly fine. Who wants a 5 star hotel when you just sleep there basically? So, to the room (top floor 1 bedroom appt) and just as expected. Twin beds in one room, basic bathroom with shower and a sitting room with 2 settees (could be used for extra beds), TV, fridge, cooker rings and basic kitchen equipment. Perfectly fine. Cleaned daily, bedding/towels changed twice a week. Pool area with sunbeds etc. Looked OK but we're beach people so not something we indulged in. Staff seemed pleasant enough though we weren't around long enough for much interaction as our usual routine (Up, get ready, beach/Island investigation, back, shower/change, out for the evening) means we see little enough of anyone! Air Con is available but extra 5 euro a night. Don't skimp, it's worth that and more in this summers heat! Gerani itself is very quiet (as we wanted) and the beach not the best (but perfectly adequate for lazy days and a bit of swimming). Not sure I'd take small kids on though as the water gets deep very quickly and only a couple of yards out. Would we go back? Yes, in general, but there are other places to visit and missing a couple of years due to Covid has changed our perspective on returning to places or going to new destinations (within Greece of course).

Had a lovely two week stay here, perfect for us as we wanted peace and quiet and just to basically relax in the sun. Our apartment was situated on the first floor with a gorgeous view of the sea....ideal! Basic accommodation which we expected but was spotlessly clean, bins emptied every day and clean bedding and towels twice a week. The lady who runs the Viaros - Elektra was very accommodating, food was lovely and plentiful, we sampled many things from the menu which was cheaper than the local bars and restaurants. Plenty of places to eat and drink within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance, think we ate in nearly all of them during our stay. We loved Gerani and would definitely stay at the Viaros again.

I stayed here for a week with 2 other friends. It was absolutely perfect for what we wanted which was a peaceful & relaxing time. The room was plenty big enough for the three of us and equipped with all the basics that you need. The location is perfect and there are plenty of lovely restaurants to visit within walking distance and 2 mini-marts stocked up with anything you might need. The pool bar at the Viaros is open early until late and the lovely lady Elektra that seems to work there 24/7 is a fantastic chef and cocktail maker. There are other pool bars close by with bigger pools if you fancy a change of seen too. I would recommend this place to any adults needing some peaceful R & R, but maybe not young families
