Gero Onsen Fugaku Reviews

It was a comfortable, family-run Ryokan style inn. There is free parking for those who drive. It is also walking distance from the train station. We arrived after dark and the staff told us there was no more dinner, so they recommended us a dinner place nearby. For breakfast which was included, it was a full set and really delicious Japanese platter. We ate to our heart’s content. The onsen is located on the basement and the 4th floor, I like it specially for the rooftop onsen. The men and women onsen will swap at certain timings to allow each gender to enjoy the facilities at the rooftop. They give clear instructions on a piece of paper, and you just need to look at the colour of the cloth hanging outside the onsen. The hotel is located near the town centre, so you can walk around easily.

Small size onsen hotel, have to be careful to go to onsen, they change morning and evening daily for men and ladies without clear English sign The rest is good experience, we requested to eat dinner in a special room (not in our own room)because we have 2 couples want to eat together, and they are very helpful to arrange for us

This hotel needs to be evaluated for its advantages and disadvantages: Let's talk about the advantages first. The price is good for the price. It's a night with two meals. The Hida beef cattail leaf grilled in the evening is a specialty. Sashimi, bean sprout pork, and other dishes are also delicious. The room is a traditional Japanese inn. Someone will come to make the bed after dinner. The hotel B1 is a hot spring with a high sulfur content. It is slippery after washing. There is also a massage chair for massage after soaking. The hotel also provides beautiful kimonos👘 to wear to take a bath, and come back for dinner after soaking. For dinner, I ordered the local Tianliangsheng sake in Gero for 1,480 yen. It is cost-effective and quite delicious. Disadvantages: This must be said. The so-called river view room actually has a road outside the window. The hotel glass has poor sound insulation. Cars drive back and forth. My family can't sleep well all night, so you must not book a river view room when booking a room Transportation. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the JR station to the hotel, and you have to pull your luggage through a tunnel. When we went there, we didn't see the hotel pick-up car. The check-out time the next day was 10 am. After checking out, the hotel will send a car to the JR station.

I traveled a long way from Nagoya and took many buses to Gero, staying at a 4,000-a-night hotel. The hotel was dated. From the front desk to the staff, everyone was an *******. They were all rambling and boasting. I repeatedly confirmed that the room was a bathroom with a river view. Upon arrival, they said they didn't have that type of room, even though they did. You can say it's full or that the reservation was wrong, but as a hotel employee, you can't boast. The food was also very low-quality, not comparable to Izu. The room was also very low-quality. I will never stay again. A very bad experience.

This hot spring hotel has a good location, a sense of age, and good value for money. The breakfast and dinner are OK, but many shops are closed at night and there are no attractions.

The train arrived at Gero Station. I originally planned to walk to the hotel, but I saw the hotel sign as soon as I got out of the station. It was quite a surprise. The check-in process was very smooth. When we went through the formalities, the luggage had been delivered to the room. Then we arranged dinner and breakfast, explained the bathing time, and ladies could specially choose their favorite bathrobes, each one was different. The only drawback was that the bathhouse on B1 did not have an open-air bath, and the men's and women's baths changed at midnight. The next morning, I got up early to go to the open-air bath on the 5th floor. The hotel also had several buses to Gero Station the next morning.

Four sisters stayed in one room. Breakfast and dinner were delivered to the room. I stayed for two days and the food was different every day. The taste was good. Before eating, a waiter would come in to set the table and clean up after eating. Although I couldn't understand Chinese, it was still good. The hotel car would pick us up when we arrived at the station, and they would also pick us up when we went out to play. It felt very friendly! The overall hotel facilities are relatively old, but hot spring hotels are like this

Aside from the friendly attitude of the many Brazilian and Southeast Asian staff, this hotel has almost nothing to recommend it. The actual location is very different from the photos. The facilities are very old, and the windows are not soundproof, which means the road noise is very loud. It was noisy all night and very disturbing. Breakfast can only be delivered to the room, and the time is very inflexible. The food and sleep during my stay were average.

The service attitude is much worse than before, and some Nepalese employees are even more rude. Found two insects (cockroaches) in the room, one large and one small. 😖😱
