A peaceful comfortable resort with pool, sauna, gym, pool table, table tennis & guest lounge for drinks, snacks & takeaway pizza. Fish & chip van visits on Tuesday & Wednesday. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely tablet for cash sale. Lodges built on side of a hill. Lots to visit and see around

Headed down for a midweek break - Monday to Friday. Fortunately, the weather was dry and we enjoyed many wonderful walks during our stay. The lodge was very cosy and well-maintained. Beds so comfortable. Hot tub - heavenly. All the staff were so welcoming and quick to sort any issues. We used the swimming pool and sauna and were the only 2 in- it was very quiet and felt like it was our own personal pool. We shopped at the little Morrisons which had all we needed and was within easy walking distance. The bus to Ayr and Girvan/Stranraer also leaves regularly from Morrisons. A wonderful place to explore the beauties of Ayrshire from.

The countryside around Brunston Castle is very attractive with lots of walks and hikes to do, and more castles than you can count. The kitchen is fully equipped, which is just as well as there are not many restaurants around. You must have a car when you stay here to appreciate the local beauty.

We went to Brunston Castle for a family-moon before our next addition arrives. The lodges were gorgeous, clean and spacious. Felt like a home away from home. Good sized kitchen, had everything you needed. Comfortable beds, plenty space for the 3 of us. 2 year old son loved the park and outdoors. Fish van came on the Tuesday and it was lovely. We used the pool throughout the week. The main pool was great, nice and warm. Although definitely needs an update- paint on the surrounds of the pool peeling away, kids pool was green and reeking of urine. And in the showers, the same clump of brown hair remained in the drain our entire stay so not sure how often they're cleaned. Husband used the gym and was happy with what was in it. The check out experience was however very impersonal, a text to say thanks and leave the keys in the Lodge and that was it. Appreciate after covid this was necessary but didn't exactly make you feel valued as a customer to just be waved off with a text. Overall, we had a lovely relaxing stay, would definitely come back but do think it needs a bit of updating and modernising.

Booked for 4 nights Wednesday to Sunday. Was impressed with all the communication leading up to the stay and all information provided. The week before had to give them a £100 deposit which they hold on your card if there is any damages. The day of arrival received a txt with the key box number for outside the lodge and that was the check in process reply to say u have arrived. The drive there was not for me too long on small back roads which I would have hated even more had it been dark or bad weather. The lodge itself was fairly big (a bit outdated decor wise) we stayed in turnberry 39. It had an upstairs and a downstairs. 2 double bedrooms one with just a toilet and one with full shower en-suite. The main bathroom had a shower and bath. All towels were provided and bed linen. There was also a small kitchen with cooking facilities, fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster and dishwasher. The living room had two sofa bed couches which were most uncomfortable to sit on. There was also a dining room table and a veranda with outside table and chairs. The showers had no power to them at all and took an eternity to wash the soap out my hair. The other downfall is there is only one car parking space at the lodge. They provided a cot and high chair free of charge. U do have to take your own mattress for the cot though. The amenities and location. Having stayed in Ayrshire a few times before I was looking forward to the nice coastal drives and little towns. We went to Ayr and prestwick both worth a visit plenty of places to eat and a few shops. Girvan was a major disappointment. Really nothing in it a few cafes. We actually ate in graziano’s fish and chips and it was very greasy and all overcooked batter was like chewing a brick. There was a Asda in Girvan which was the only good thing. There is also a Morrisons daily at the bottom of the road from the lodges which is handy. There is no take aways or restaurants in dailly. The welcome pack gave suggestions of take aways that do delivery and thank god for that or we would have been really struggling driving to these places in the dark. We tried the 88 Chinese in Girvan and it was absolutely lovely and very cheap would highly recommend that. We also tried Girvan Pizzeria numerous items a munchies box, chicken kebab, burger and chicken nuggets. The chicken nuggets were like cardboard and the kids refused to eat them. The chicken was so tough even a chain saw wouldn’t get through it, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The amenities on site there was a pool with a baby pool (both freezing) no lifeguard so if u have kids u will have to go in with them. There was a sauna but can’t comment on that as we tried to use it twice and twice it wasn’t working. We did play pool £50p a game and table tennis (pay a deposit of £5 for both). You can get coffee and tea and some soft drinks, cakes, panini’s and some sweets all reasonably priced. You can also pay a donation and get some dvds from reception

Stayed in Arran lodge which was a lovely and spotlessly clean lodge with hot tub. Welcome pack supplied in kitchen and toiletries in bathroom. Bathrobes, slippers and towels also supplied. Quiet park, but well kept. This was our second stay and will not be our last.
