Premier Suites Plus Glasgow George Square

We booked for 2 bedroom penthouse , but we received property email stating the penthouse's balcony outdoor access was restricted but still we keep our original booking as we think "PENTHouSE " apartment size will be comfortable for us for 2 nights stay in Glasgow. Upon arrival at 6.30pm, we proceeded self check-in via the property's whatsapp support due to their limited working hours . We are provided door code, safe box code and key to our "PENTHOUsE 701 " . There are 4 "PENTHouSE" on 7th floor. 701 the apartment's layout was weird, they have 4 doors to each different rooms. The bedrooms are really very very small , the apartment is warm ,stuffy & windows are restricted with all locks. We requested to change for another apartment due to odours of the rooms. We booked this "PENTHouSE apartment type" as we needed for some laundry and we prefer staying close together as a family even during trip BUT this "PENTHouSE" ADVERTISMENT IS BELOW EXPECTATIONS. IT is located on 7th floor, WITHOUT VIEW, WITHOUT EXCESS TO BALCONY. I would suggest the property do not mislead guests with false advertisement as " PENTHouSE ". They are like Deluxe 2 bedroom type. Honestly we should have booked hotel instead of this apartment. PROS- Fabulous location @ George Square PROS- Proper kitchen with washing machines PROS - Good service via WhatsApp [ they have limited working hours for check-in assistant offline ] patient enough to assist us for self check-in.procedure, solve the switched of the room type. CONS - Rooms are very very small, too small for Asia or UK or even European size. The double bed size is just like extra single size BED.Not suitable for couple 2 adults. CONS- Apartment furnished & decorations are outdated and heating system is outdated and we have a tough time adjusting the temperature. Our rooms are hot and cold through the night even though we set at the same temperature. CONS- All Windows are locked for " security reasons " that's very new experience to us, and it is 5th floor not consider high in Asia standard, maybe different for Glasgow regulations. We felt gloomy and dim- 3 wall lamps and stand lamp in the living room. CONS - our beds are not comfortable, bedsheets are not very clean , we felt " itchy" due to rough material and we can't sleep well due to temperature of the rooms. CONS - No amenities provided CONS - No daily housekeeping services CONS - No on-site car parking facility CONS - 3rd party car parking is 10-15mins walk and required pre- booking & pre-paid online , it costed us £25 for 2 days despite property offered us 50% discounts. CONS - The property pre-charged £250 for security deposit for 2 nights stay. I think is bot reasonable. [ we stayed at Cheval London for 5 nights and only required £240 security deposit, we stayed at citisuite at Manchester for 4 nights security deposit was not requested ] CONS - Living room is spacious but useless with 1 sofa only [ 3 persons not able to chill at the living room ] We will definitely NOT COMING BACK Again ! PS: we still waiting for the property 's management to feedback / reply us on regarding of the room change different fare as they only come back to work on Monday. :-( But they charge security deposit even on weekend. For refund they only do Monday:-(. This business model will not survive in Asia.

We stayed during Christmas season and there was a Xmas market next door. The hotel is spacious and all the necessary facilities, including kitchen and washing machine are provided.

Fab stay. Fab position in centre of town, right near everything. Clean and comfortable. Great service from reception with clear instructions for late check in. Great service when the TV stopped working, Martin came and fixed it straight away. Would definitely stay again.

Rooms were clean, comfortable bed, easy access, reception was open when I arrived. Parking at a 50% discount was less tahn a 10 minute walk away. Some noise from Queen street, where the apartment is located, but ear plugs worked for me.

We had a very spacious 1 bedroom apartment overlooking George’s Square. The kitchen bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and modern. Everything was on our doorstep.so close that if we needed to use the bathroom we just popped back to the room dropped off the shopping and went back out. Highly recommend.

The property is in a very convenient location and we did enjoy our stay. However it is very noisy with the chip shop across the street staying open until the early morning hours and there is constant noise from the late night activity until 4 am. Updating the windows would be a great solution as they are old and do not seal tight letting in a lot of noise. There are some worn parts of the apartment especially the bathroom. Odd that there is a towel warmer with no way to turn it on. Otherwise we found the apartment clean and a really nice size and layout.
