The hotel was very clean and modern, with a warm and welcoming reception. A lovely touch was the dog-friendly corner, where you can even arrange dinner for your dog. It made the stay feel especially thoughtful and accommodating.

I stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC on 13 February for a gig over at the OVO Hydro. From the moment I stepped into the hotel I was impressed. A special mention has to go to Sarah in Reception who made my stay extra special with a drink voucher and upgrade to a corner room which I was delighted about. The hotel is ideally located for those attending events at the OVO Hydro and SEC venues - it’s literally across the road and a 2-5 minute walk! The room overlooked both the OVO Hydro and the world-famous crane, a Glasgow icon. It was clean, well-presented and I liked the extra touch of having a hairdryer in-room as well as an ice bucket for bubbles, and the obligatory tea/coffee. The bed was comfortable and I had a rested sleep in it, and the shower works really well. I will 100% return to this hotel and hopefully will be treated like a well-valued guest again!

The hotel was alright, but the bathroom drain was clogged and water flowed out onto the floor. There weren't enough staff downstairs. For the price, I could have found a better option.

They actually gave us a room on a floor that was under renovation! Yes, you read that right, a renovated floor! When the elevator doors opened, the lights were off; they were doing electrical repairs and painting. You had to walk through the renovated section to get to the open rooms further down. After I went to the front desk and got a room change, it was fine, but it just felt so ridiculous. On the day we checked out, there was a sudden electrical problem, all the lights in the entire hotel went out, and only one elevator was still working... Ugh! However, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet.

This hotel is a stones throw from the SEC. Very clean. Good size rooms. The room doors are extremely heavy to open but im presuming they are sound proof as we didn't hear anything our whole stay. Buffet breakfast had a great choice.
