Kelvin Hotel West End

The staff is great. The hotel is really clean and quiet. I was kindly allowed to work on the facilities even after check-out, and the staff was totally respectful with my privacy and my needs on silence for working.

My stay at the Kelvin hotel was short but oh so sweet. I was only there for one night but the gentlemen at the front desk was one of the kindest and most accommodating people I have ever interacted with in the hospitality industry. Check in: My friend and I arrived early and were able to check in right away at no extra cost. This is not the norm in the UK based on my experience - but very much appreciated for a weary traveler. Breakfast: After a night out, my friend and I did not wake up early enough for breakfast. However, after coming to the lobby to check out we were offered plenty of food, drinks, and snacks anyways. I was ready to settle for a dry box of cereal just to tide myself over, but, the gentlemen from the desk came in and provided milk, hot chocolate, coffee, orange juice, yogurt, and snacks for the rest of our day. It was amazing! Overall, I believe most of the other reviews don’t do this place justice. Our room was fully renovated not even two weeks ago and HUGE! If I ever find myself in Glasgow again I will 100% stay here.

Big thumbs up to Azam on front desk who made it a really nice stay and upgraded our room as a kind gesture. The room itself was nice and great for the price. Breakfast small but it's included so can't complain. Happy overall and special thanks to Azam :)

Me and my partner were very impressed with the hotel. We had a friendly welcome, the staff were very pleasent and helpful. The room was very clean, tidy and a reasonable size. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it. It is located in a nice part of Glasgow and only half hour walk to the city centre. We really enjoyed our stay and have no complaints about the hotel itself. It was great value for money. Our only critisicm is the car park at the back which needs clearing as it's a very small car park and space is taken up by rubbish dumped out there that needs going to a tip. So, except for the car park, we give the hotel 10 out 10! Many thanks

Had a great stay at the Kelvin Hotel, Glasgow. The chap on reception even ungraded me to a en-suite double room free of charge. Definitely a great place to stay on a budget. Would recommend and book again.

Avoid at all cost!!! Where to start? The room was stinking, very stale smell as soon as you open the door. Once inside it was obvious we couldn't have stayed, carpet was filthy, lampshades looked like they had been kicked about the room then put on the lamps, paintwork all chipped and walls dirty. The worst thing was the smell, pretty awful. Thee room we booked had a shared bathroom that I just would not have used. Two other couples that arrived at the same time as us also left so it wasn't just us being fussy. Major improvements are needed.
