This is my third year to stay at Steamboat. My friends ask why I keep going back to the same place and I say if you had been there you'd understand. Maple Ridge suite is incredible. The staff are friendly and are so helpful. There are waterfalls to hike to up down 138. It is a fun day trip to Crater lake and after you get back, have a delicious dinner, you can soak in the tub with the fire going and just relax!!! I plan to go back again next year. There are always more trails to hike and sites to see. Don't miss out on this gem!!!

We passed this place on our way to Crater Lake and when we stopped at the Lake, we googled it and decided to stop on our way back for cocktails and a bite to eat. Oh my gosh, we were so glad we did! We walked in and was greeted by Lesley/Leslie who was so sweet. The main dining area/gift shop was so pretty and homey. When you go thru that area, there is like and enclosed patio area. Walk on a little bit and there is an outdoor seating area that is so beautiful and peaceful. We elected to sit there. The landscaping is pretty and the location is on the North Umqua River (I think that’s correct) in a section that has a couple of sets of rapids. The ambiance was so peaceful and quiet—and yes, even the sounds of the rapids was soothing. I was intrigued by their tomato-coconut soup and Lesley couldn’t rate it since she didn’t like tomatoes but when we asked another patron, she said it was delicious. I had to try a cup of it and hubby and I ordered their Smoked Steelhead Dip—I couldn’t tell you which one was the better of the two because both was amazing! What can I say about Lesley: she was so bubbly and outgoing. When I relayed that to her, she said she was born to be a server and I couldn’t agree more. She was outstanding! Don’t miss stopping at this place if you’re in the area. It is so totally worth it.

Unexpected change in travel plans granted us the pleasure of staying at this quaint riverside inn. A peaceful setting along the river. Dinner on the patio was fabulous. I wish we could have stayed longer. I'm hoping we can make it back to Cabin 1 someday.

The Steamboat Inn is a hidden gem and a lovely base for exploring Crater Lake National Park and the many waterfall hikes along the North Umpqua River. Our riverside cabin was cozy and comfortable-and we fell asleep to the sound of the water rushing by. The highlight, however, was our dinner on the riverside patio, at a table under the trees strung with lights. Both the tenderloin and the steelhead trout were amazing, as was the service. Highly recommend!

Everything about the Falls suite at Steamboat Inn was perfect. It was so cozy and comfortable on all counts. The view was exceptional! The food was amazing! And.... the staff was so friendly and helpful. The hikes nearby were stunning. This is a great place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty.

My wife and I usually go in the summer for our wedding anniversary. Both of the luxury suites, The Falls and The Maple, are excellent with a comfortable living room with kitchenette and hot tub. We usually hike and swim in the early afternoon before checking in before dinner. Superb food. I enjoy the sound of the river. We will be back again.

We stopped by here for a fabulous lunch five years ago on our way from Crater Lake to the Oregon coast. I had always wanted to come back to stay for a night. It was as great as I remembered. The rooms are rustic and charming. We loved having the doors open at night to listen to the river rapidst. The food was still delicious, although I was disappointed that they didn't have their incredible marionberry pie on this visit. The only downside were the fires in the area, which had closed most of the nearby waterfall trails.

We recently had reservations the last of July staying approx. 5 days in a cabin. We also had other family staying at the inn. We stayed one night since the smoke was hazardous, and the cabins do not have AC just fans so we couldn't cool the room. We cancelled our reservations the next day due the hazardous conditions. The smoke was really bad. The manager did not refund any funds due to the unaccommodating cancelation policy. I figured there would be exceptions due the smokey condition. So, if you're traveling and there are fires in eastern Oregon or hazardous smoke use caution when booking at the steamboat inn.

My family and I loved the Steamboat Inn. The cottage we had was beautiful with lovely amenities. We had a spectacular dinner in their library which was elegant yet casual. The food was fantastic! All of the people we dealt with were so friendly, they made us feel like family. It was a beautiful ride to Crater Lake from there the next morning. Only problem was we wish we could have stayed longer!
