Atlantic Host Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham ★★★
"Hello Again So on a unrelated note to my situation earlier.. I just so happened to find out that my great nephews soccer team is playing for the provincial championship tomorrow.. They are staying at Atlantic Host Hotel.. My great nephew was very sick was not here.. But I happened to notice some of the people from my home town of Shediac.. Anyways long story it was late for me to bring my son to eat at the restaurant but he was hungry, we sat at the restaurant and the server was awesome really good guy. But what really caught my attention was the bartender who seemed to be acting erratically like really frustrated and seemed pissed off, I use to work at a night club I notice this stuff I also worked at homeless shelter and as a peer support for people with mental illness and addictions, I notice things.. Around the time of not sure really was close to 9 pm but you can probably check on the camera, your bartender ended up have a altercation with someone at the time I was not really sure of who it was but I noticed something going on looked like she grabbed a lady by the arm and the back of the neck.. Then pushed her out of the bar, mind you I have my three year old son with me so I’m trying to eat and leave.. As I’m walking out the woman who got tossed out by your bartender basically was manhandled, was a lady I know from my home town her name is Stepanie, so I ran into her she was visibly upset so she was like can’t believe what happened, So I was like did she grab you or something she told me she placed her hands on her and pushed out of the bar.. In no way did Stepanie seemed impaired or being verbally abusive she mostly was in shock as to what had happened.. If your able to watch the video as I’m talking to Stephanie and having a conversation to see what happens your bartender comes over to me even to confront me with my three year old in tow.. I didn’t want to make a scene but I told your bartend she was out of line to use force like this when it was totally uncalled for.. I would really like to talk to someone from corporate to see about these situations, I’m first going to leave it with you. I’m not really one of those people who complains but really this experience has been a eye opener and I’m just really shaking my head at the way this Hotel is run.. I have not decided to put a review online yet but with these two incidents I’m thinking it is my duty to warn people as to what is going on here.."
Super 8 by Wyndham Caraquet ★★
Auberge d'Anjou-Sūrya Café ★★★
"We were contacted the day of our arrival and informed how to pick up our keys to the room. When I booked, I did not realize there would be so many stairs to climb to the second story where the rooms where located. I have knee issues and found navigating the stairs difficult. Even though we were travelling with only small carry on suitcases, we only took what was required for an overnight stay in our backpacks. I found our room to be on the small side with limited electrical outlets. My husband has a CPAP machine and we had to move the bed to be able to plug in his machine. An extension cord would have been helpful. Our rate only included the night stay, although a discount was offered if we ate breakfast at the ground floor cafe. There was a small kitchenette on a landing at the foot of the stairs on the upper floor, with a communal fridge and small table. Our sleep was comfortable. Overall, I found the experience of staying here very impersonal. We never met the proprietors and when we went to the cafe the next morning for breakfast, we stood by the door for some time without anyone acknowledging or welcoming us. I understood that they were busy, but a brief hello would have been sufficient. We departed seeking breakfast elsewhere. Overall, a very impersonal, not very welcoming experience."
