Onsite parking available free of charge first come first served so worth paying for early check-in. Rooms clean. Receptionist excellent although working hard as solo member of staff so multitasking. Breakfast bit shambolic re choice, table clearance, insufficient staff. Overall adequate in most respects, Receptionist excellent and Breakfast adequate/ room for improvement. Would return."

So good to see that it still had the atmosphere of a historic coaching inn in Gloucester. Hopefully I will return later in the year with my wife to attend a performance of Handel’s Messiah at Gloucester Cathedral on 21st November."

"The room was a bit small, but it had a microwave and a kettle. We stayed two nights, and the next day there were fresh towels and coffee left at the door, which was thoughtful. The hotel wasn't too far from several attractions in the city center, and the train station was a 15-20 minute walk away. We took the train to Bath for a day trip in the morning. Buying round-trip tickets was more cost-effective, and return tickets were available... The only thing the hotel didn't do was provide face tissues."
