Staryij Dvorik Na Orlovskoj Hotel

It went without a hitch, as before. I'll be laconic. Location: central. Rooms: comfy, immaculately clean, with all the amenities of a reputable budget hotel. Breakfast: plenty and delicious. Staff and service: lovely. Recommended. Unequivocally and undoubtedly. Take a bow, guys! I'll be back!!!

We spent three nights there in August. I'd called them two weeks before our trip, we had a great conversation, and, as a result, two standard rooms on the ground floor were booked. They called me back on the day of my arrival, and the consequent check-in was instant. The facility is really nice but I'd specifically stress their comfy beds and good sound insulation—a rare bird in hotels, whether in Russia or elsewhere. Their open buffet breakfast is lovely too with not only scrambled eggs and/or several kinds of porridge but also fried eggs available as a free extra courtesy. The outdoor veranda in the inner court is a pleasant boon, I agree. The stuff were open-hearted, ready-to-help, and efficient. Our wishes were fulfilled right away. A snag, however, is their parking lot which is rather small. It is therefore impossible to book a place there in advance. Meanwhile, the adjacent street is one-way, packed with cars, and, in addition to it, the side one may park at depends on the day—even or odd. All this resulted in my case in an agonizing search for a spot to maneuver my SUV to without a perspective to get a ticket. Still, notwithstanding this moment, I recommend this hotel to travellers. Stary Dvorik na Orlovskoi means "Old Small Yard on Orlovskaya Street" in Russian, by the way.
