The Kings Arms and Royal Hotel, Godalming, Surrey
"Very good hotel, clean, quiet, nice staff, great food"
The Rose & Crown
"We had the room with the king size bed and bunk beds. Only one night. It was comfortable and reasonably clean, but of dust here and there and one of the towels was dirty. Tiny doors and stairs, especially up to the bathroom. Due to the quirky head heights the mirror was at waist level. Breakfast was continental but very nice. Easy to park and the town is so lovely."
The Stag on the River
"All good apart from a couple of things: - I was unaware that the payment for the two rooms was taken 10 days before we checked in. ...(on the booking it said 'pay at hotel'). - the 'fixed price menu' offered on the dinner menu should state 'only available Monday toThursday'. - on looking back, my booking confirmation promised a complimentary bottle of Tilford ale. .no sign of that in our room."
The Ragged Robin
"Health can be, the environment can be, the food is general, taxi is more difficult."
Grade 2 Listed Rural Farm House
The Crown Inn
"We stayed on a Tuesday in the Kings Suite which we have stayed in before. Wife’s 50th birthday and had spent day at a spa and wanted an over night stay to get away from home despite only living 20 mins away. The hotel is nothing but charming and oozes character. We love this suite as it is like a small apartment… wonky floors, 4 poster bed, beams covering every ceiling, roll top bath, warm what’s not to love! We also ate there as we couldn’t be bothered in the end to drive to The Mulberry close by where we had a reservation. Not going to lie food is average but that is not why we go. The staff were super friendly not only entertaining but also helpful - smiles from all 3 working not only in the evening but also in the morning when we left. I am in the hospitality business myself and am very aware and I can not praise the staff enough the owners I hope are proud. We will definitely be returning…"
voco LYTHE HILL HOTEL & SPA by IHG
"The setting is beautiful and the perfect place to relax with friends. I asked for boules for the boules pit and they found them, meaning we could have a lovely relaxing day on the lawn. The only thing I felt was that as we had arrived the day after a wedding, maybe they need to employ more people to clean the rooms knowing how busy they would be. Also have more people on the desk for checkout after a wedding."
Bed and Breakfast Dunsfold
"Having given the owner of this awful place plenty of time to issue a refund…several months in fact….I have taken to writing a bad review. This place was terrible… nobody here when we arrived, owner and his son finally turned up they were rude and had clearly been drinking!! Not an issue except the owner was driving! Shown to room it was filthy with stuff left from previous guests, dusty and needed updating. Breakfast only available to owners convenience and had to share a bathroom which is not great. Felt like we had moved into a house share rather than booking a relaxing night away! Have requested refund multiple times including in person before we left but didn’t argue our point as there were several of the sons mates there and we felt threatened! All emails ignored! Needless to say would never stay again and would advise anyone else to avoid!!"
