When we first arrived and started settling into the room, things already felt a bit off. The key card power switch cover was actually lying on the floor—not exactly what you’d expect from a hotel that markets itself as a premium destination. Then, as we unpacked, my partner spotted something impossible to ignore: a large, very obvious stain on the shower screen door. It looked suspicious and completely unhygienic. We were so disgusted that we went straight to reception and showed the receptionist a photo. He didn’t seem particularly attentive or concerned; instead of offering a new room or a proper solution, he casually asked if we’d like him to “call room service.” The whole interaction left us feeling brushed off rather than taken care of. Throughout our week-long stay, the lack of attention to cleanliness became even more apparent. There were at least two days when our room wasn’t vacuumed at all, and the housekeeper’s visits felt more like a quick walk-through than actual cleaning. Honestly, the level of cleanliness here shocked us—it was worse than many budget European hostels that cost under €20 a night. We even counted around five dust mice in the hallway outside our room at one point, and they remained untouched for days. It felt as though basic cleaning, even in common areas, was simply being overlooked. What surprised us most wasn’t just the dirt itself, but the hotel’s tolerance for it. For a property that presents itself as a family-friendly, high-standard destination, this level of neglect really stood out—and not in a good way.

The hotel itself is very modern and nice looking. The rooms are not anything special but they are clean and have everything you need. The restaurants in the hotel are a plus, and the roomservice is therefore also delicious.

The early morning breakfast option is appreciated. And is perfect for those with early flights to appointments where they need to leave the hotel before 6:30 am

Overall, this hotel was a superb experience. We arrived around 18.00 in the evening after a long drive. Unfortunately some technical error in their system required us to wait in the lobby for about 30min, but we were swiftly compensated in the form of free parking and a complimentary prosecco in the room. The room itself was beautiful. Amazing view, very comfortable bed and TV placement, a very long bathtub. The only mild annoyance was that the bathroom light was finicky to turn on and adjust. The spa is a must-experience, especially after a long drive from one side of Sweden to the other. It was excellent; nothing to complain about. The best thing about Upper House however, is the breakfast. I have never had a better breakfast experience anywhere else in the world. I would gladly stay again just to eat their breakfast menu. Very excellent stay, great service and great food. A solid 9.5/10 experience.

We had great time at the Gothia Towers. The dinner in Heaven 23 with sunset view was the highlight. Easy access from and to the airport with regular bus stopping only 150m from the Hotel. Would stay here again👌.

There is no way for a business trip. The room is very small and the hygiene is not good. The kettle is washed and has a thick layer of dirt. The pillow is also dirty. Maybe it's because the prices here are high.

I came here for a meeting. The gym is small and average. The price is generally expensive, but it is a conference hotel. I didn't have a chance to go to the spa. I will experience it next time.

The shower drain was severely clogged and the partition was leaking, so there was water all over the place. You can take a bus to the central station. Breakfast was a bit hectic because there were so many people, but the meal was served in a timely manner.

All very good, I plan to book this one next time.

The hotel is quite new. The restaurant on the 27th floor is great. The room is not big but it is OK. The hotel has paid parking, but it is a bit of a walk away.
