We were on bike trip in Gotland and stayed in this amazing Hotel. It is close to the Ferry to the island which makes it very convenient. The hotel has an amazing terrace to have a drink in the sunset. Restaurant is serving very good food. Very friendly staff. I can definitely recommend.

The Fårsunds fästning is an excellent option if you wish to visit the north of Gotland (Fårö) and at the same time get a piece of interesting Swedish history. The rooms are all in heavy concrete (and really cool) but at the same time cosy and offer all you need in terms of comfort and equipment. The resto offers tasty lamb from the region and the breakfast offers a variety goodies (although the berries were a bit too cold). Well worth a visit!

Converted from an old military fortress into a hotel this is a very cool place. They have kept some of the old unique walls which is great. The restaurant is fantastic. We had Moules et frites and local lamb sausages, both were outstanding. Breakfast is included and very fresh. Sauna and pool nice but could've been cleaned better. The window is towards the hallway and hotel and not to the outside. Blinds were not good and windows single glazed so it was both noisy in the room and not completely darker out. Could even see in/out in some spots. Dehumidifier in bathroom could be turned off but the ventilation in the bathroom could not be and it was very noisy. Beds too soft. Another strange thing is that they lock the place up between 11am and 3pm so you cannot evwn get in to use the toilet while you wait for your room. Staff friendly and helpful. WIFI very good which was needed as phone reception patchy

Wir haben dieses Hotel von zuhause aus gebucht, für sechs Tage, um in der Umgebung an einer Sportveranstaltung teilzunehmen! Ursprungsbedingt ( es war ja ursprünglich eine Festung ) liegt der ganze Komplex in Hügeln eingebaut. Dies bringt mit sich, dass die Zimmer wie in einem Schneckenhaus angeordnet sind. Dies war für uns zu Beginn etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig! Doch mit jedem Tag haben wir uns wohler gefühlt, alles in allem, das Haus hat Atmosphäre! Wir haben auch die Sauna und das Hallenbad benützt, und den wunderschönen, ruhigen Garten. Das Haus ist familiär geführt, sehr netter Chef, auch haben wir einige Male im hoteleigenen Restaurant vorzüglich gegessen ! Frühstück eine Klasse für sich, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sjovt at bo i en nedlagt fæstning g, og hotellet er beliggende i den smukkeste natur. Men alt interiør er meget 90’er agtigt, og det føles som om der ikke er lavet om siden. Det trænger til en opdateret “styling” med blødere materialer og måske bambus/bast lamper ( jeg går meget om i indretning☺️) Morgen og aften maden levede IKKE om til forventningerne, meget inspirerende og ikke lokal og økologisk! Men personalet var meget venligt og der var en god steming.
