The Traveller's Rest
"We used the travellers inn as we wanted to see the grisdale tarn and we needed to a room to stay after the sight. They allowed us to store our luggage at the inn as our check in was at 3pm. The rooms were clean and it overlooked a farm area with lots of sheep. The room had an aesthetic look and there was tea satchets we could have as well. The staff were kind and wonderful. The rooms had the britain charm you see in old english movies. If you love sheeps, kind people, good food and 80's british aesthetics- then this place is just for you. We loved our stay here."
The Daffodil Hotel & Spa
"Brilliant location in the Lakes and a lovely place to base yourself. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. Room was a bit too hot and the bed not the comfiest, which let it down a touch. For the higher-end price, you expect a bit more from what’s meant to be a high-end hotel."
YHA Grasmere Butharlyp Howe
"I booked a shared room at the YHA for one night based on a last-minute decision to head out into the Lake District whilst the weather was nice for 2 consecutive days (which doesn't happen too much in Winter for Cumbria.) Fortunately I managed to get myself a bed and the whole overnight stay was comfortable, at affordable pricing, with friendly staff and all services explained to a first-time rookie. As i'm bagging Wainwrights i'll definitely be considering the Butharlyp Howe YHA again as accommodation next time i'm in the area."
Rothay Garden by Harbour Hotels
"The scenery is beautiful."
The Swan at Grasmere- the Inn Collection Group
"This is a hotel very close to the lake area and belongs to a family hotel. Breakfast and dinner are very good, the amount is also very large, the price is relatively reasonable, and the surrounding scenery is not bad."
Lake View Country House
"A beautiful located and quiet guesthouse. Very friendly and helpful owners. Nice athmosphere inside and outside. Short way to the center of the town. Good starting point for hiking in the surrounding landscape without necessity to move the car."
Victorian House
"This hotel in the Lake District is absolutely excellent. It boasts a beautiful setting and is conveniently located within walking distance of the famous poet's former residence. Parking was easy and convenient. The town itself is very peaceful, with a lovely small river flowing through it. The breakfast was also fantastic; all hot items were freshly cooked to order. Our room was spotless."
Heidi's Grasmere Lodge
"Stayed for a weekend to celebrate birthday and wedding anniversary. We've stayed at Heidi's before and it never disappoints. Room's are lovely - spacious, clean and cosy. Breakfast was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. All staff work really hard and they are all friendly and helpful....especially Craig!! Thank you for a lovely weekend."
Moss Grove Organic
"Perfect place for a nice relaxing stay, we stayed in one of the hot tub suites which also had a spa bath pure bliss from start to finish. The hosts are wonderful and cannot do enough for you. The Cumberland sausage at breakfast were amazing."
