Myself and a colleague called in for a meal whilst in the area. Starter of pulled pork cheesy nachos was ok and there was a good quantity of it, so no major complaints there. However we both had the Katsu chicken burger and chips and whilst the chips seemed freshly cooked the burger was terrible. The chicken was only a few millimetres thick mostly and was covered in overcooked breadcrumbs. This made it hard and chewy around the edges and very dry. There was some sort of mayo on the bread but not sure it had much to do with any Katsu sauce I’ve ever had. There was no other real ingredients in the burger save for a small bit of onion and no side salad etc. this meal was about £15.99. The pub itself did not have a particularly attractive look about the interior but the staff were friendly. My advice would be to give the place a miss and find somewhere else to eat in the area.

Charge to watch the football then dish out personal attacks to their customers.Charge to watch the football then dish out personal attacks to their customers. Could have avoided this review if they had done the decent thing and apologised.

I went with a friend last Friday to The Prince of Orange for drink and an early evening meal ... and was blown away. All the staff smile and are welcoming and, what's more, really care. The bar has a real buzz about it. And as for the restaurant, well, I was absolutely blown away. It has a menu rather like the Ivy in that I found myself tempted by everything The quality of the food and generous portions was simply exceptional and outstanding value for money. Highly recommended

Came here for a family and friends lunch, a very large party , over 20 people. Service was good, food was good and plenty of it. Had a section of the pub to ourselves whilst the bar still managed to serve the regulars and the football watchers. Lovely landlady, Donna? Nothing was too much trouble. Nice local and very different to how it was a couple of years ago

THE SEAFOOD STAND Outside Called The Prince of Prawns. Extremely under weight portions. Cartons are not filled to the top, you are purchasing more air than seafood. Their priced are on a small piece of paper at the back of the van, which cannot be read. Very expensive. I shall not use them again, I feel ripped off.

This pub is now under new management and they had a grand opening on Saturday. New manager is very professional and welcoming. The bar staff were very friendly during a very busy day. Decor is all new throughout. Beer was lovely on a very hot day. We wish Donna and her team every success.

We booked a table for 1.30. They didn't seem to be expecting us. They proceeded to go in the restaurant area which looked very stark and lacking in ambience and completely empty.. The barman was vacuuming while we waited and wiping tables down. We asked him what was happening and he said we were the first customers since lockdown! We decided to go elsewhere!
