The check in process was simple. The receptionist was great. Coffee capsules are free and if I needed more, there was no problem.
There is a 50 Euros deposit on check in, refund after check out. Why ? Because they have drinks in the mini fridge and a can of potato chips on the counter. If you eat it, you have to pay for it.
I requested the highest floor . There are 5 floors. I got the 3rd floor. I checked in on a weekday . I don’t know why my request wasn’t honored. The hotel wasn’t that busy.
The room number for each room is hand written which isn’t very professional.
There are 2 elevators. One is not working the whole time I was there.
After I entered the room , the room floor , hard work floor it appears , is like a roller skating rink full of luggage wheels tracks. It looked awful. I wasn’t too bothered with it. The view is ok with lots of grafiti on the opposite bank which isn’t that appealing.
There room is dirty and floor not swept. The daily house keeping involving replacing the coffee on 1/2 nights there , replaced the floor towel in front of the shower and threw out the garbage, made the bed and that was it.
There is a chair facing the river which is great.
I went for a walk , bought some fruit and settled down and spread my things around and discovered the WiFi is extremely poor, ranging from 1 to zero bar to 2 bar to zero bar. The reception was unstable and I was using my own cell phone data. This is by far the worse hotel that I have ever stayed in .
The bathroom door is transparent. If you have kid , your kids will see you ***** while you shower. It is a terrible floor plan.
This hotel is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but it looks age and , dated. It has seen its glorious days ( the chandelier on top of the chair facing the window shows its glory ). The wall is not painted. This hotel is not ready to receive customers. On the day that I check in , I saw 2 painters getting to paint the wall, apparently it still wants to earn money while it is under renovation
I honestly think the hotel needs to be shut down to fix the WiFi.
The supervisor offered me another Login name but neither worked well.
My advice is to save your money and stay somewhere. You can’t get your money back once you paid.. Changing room doesn’t solve the WiFi issue. It is just more hassle. The receptionists were very nice people. Don’t blame the messengers. I blamed it on the company who owns it and the general manager who runs the day to day activity.
