Travelodge Telford

Good service. The place is in the centre of town, which makes staying there great. Stores, pubs and eateries available at any time

This travelodge is in a great location within the city center and with the vicinity of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. It is next to a great shopping area and there is lake to the back of the travelodge. There is no restaurant on site but you can eat nearby with a discounted rate.

absolutely terrible customer service, we arrived and booked two rooms. the first room absolutely stunk of a strong smell of ****. my son and his dad couldn’t sleep in there. the male receptionist couldn’t be bothered to deal with me and kept telling me to “calm down” when he was the one with an attitude and told me to be quite. he was very quick to shut me down infront of other people when complaining about how strong the smell of **** is in room 314. he came up to spray the room with an air freshener and then told us we could have another room if the smell didn’t shift. the smell didn’t shift (why he thought that would work is beyond me a straight swap to another room would have been better rather than having a 6 year waiting till 10pm to go to bed after travelling down here from 3 hours away) we went back to reception and again his attitude got worse he proceeded to tell me to calm down (when i’m already calm) he wouldn’t let me speak kept speaking over me wouldn’t listen and then he proceeded to tell me if i didn’t want my son to sleep in that room then i am to be quite. terrible customer service terrible attitude and the room they eventually moved them too has zero air con and with just two small fans circling the warm air. DO NOT USE the fact the male receptionist couldn’t care and does not have any training in customer service speaks volumes won’t ever recommend a travel lodge and won’t ever use them again (this is my first and last experience using them)

Location ideal as we was up there for a family wedding brilliant welcome and also help from the staff at reception. Disabled parking available. Rooms very clean and towels available and had suite bathroom . Pub opposite (but not noisy late at night ) TV , teas and coffee making facilities wasn't much there but the gentleman at reception gave me some more would book there again if I needed to we stopped in the family room

Shower room was mouldy and in need of a good scrub. Stains on carpet and walls. Musty horrible smell in corridor. Disabled parking was fine if you can get hold of someone on the intercom to let you in. Only positive was the lady on reception who was extremely pleasant.

Even though this hotel is on the list of Travelodge hotel with air-conditioning, the staff tries to gaslight that it is not supposed to have air-conditioning. During the night it turns off by itself at random times. Sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 20 etcetera. Waking up in sweat and have to turn it back on is not so pleasant after booking this hotel specifically for air-conditioning.

Room was clean. Air con great. Noisy beer garden opposite room so our early night was disturbed. Car parking not ideal and situation was confusing to us OAP’s. Receptionist good and helpful. Travelodge directional signage confusing and partly hidden by greenery. Sign needs direction arrow with yardage.

I was attending a sporting event at the Telford International Centre. This accommodation is VERY convenient and only a five minute walk from the Centre. It is close to a shopping centre, restaurants and cinema. Price was reasonable. Room clean, comfortable and plenty of tea/coffee. Staff very helpful. I will stay there again.
