Had a wonderful stay at the White Lodge, Great Yarmouth. Beautifully located by the sea, near The Venetian Waterways. A beautiful clean room with sea view. A lovely breakfast in the mornings. Jean is a fabulous host who makes you feel so welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend the White Lodge should you be visiting lovely Great Yarmouth.

After our booking elsewhere was abruptly cancelled, we found ourselves landing on our feet with The White Lodge, staying for Easter weekend. Jean cannot do enough for her guests; she sets the standard for hosting. It was such a nice surprise on Easter Sunday to have chocolate eggs waiting for us at breakfast, only for Jean to go and top it by gifting us these knitted chickens, which she had personally made for guests during the quiet winter. General notes: - Decent sized rooms, immaculately clean, comfy bed. - Great breakfast offering. - Good walkable location (approx 20 mins to pier) and easy to park. - Interesting 1920s building, packed with historical tidbits; loved the old newspapers on display. - Jean is always looking to improve facilities. Thanks again for a great stay; next time we plan a visit to Great Yarmouth, we would definitely look to rebook.

Excellent place to stay. It's 1920/30 decor adds interest and the breakfasts are very nice. The Lodge is very clean and the hostess Jean makes sure you have what you need to make for an enjoyable visit.

To summarise my 3 night motor biking holiday with friends at the white lodge in Great Yarmouth was one of amazement. From the moment we turned up on the motor bikes nothing was to much trouble even Down to letting us park the bikes in the secure rear garden which really put are minds at rest knowing the bikes were being looked after. Well it got even better the following morning when we were served a very Harty full English breakfast toast or anything thing else we wanted to eat.The b&b is perfectly situated on the quieter end of the coast just a 10min walk into town or 5 mins bus ride into the action.the rooms were impressive with some lovely original features not to mention plenty of tea & coffee facilities. We had to leave early on the morning of are departure & were unable to have breakfast even this wasn’t a problem as breakfast baps were made up for the journey home. So to other mature fellow bikers that are visiting Great Yarmouth look now further & book the white lodge you won’t be disappointed Thank you Jean for making us feel so comfortable see you again Best wishes Terry

We have just returned from such a lovely weekend at White Lodge! Our aim was to go seal watching at Horsey ,Winterton and Waxham and they certainly showed up in their thousands- big tick off the bucket list! Jean looked after us so well at a very Christmassy White Lodge, sending us on our way each morning after a super breakfast. Our room was spacious, quiet and had a lovely sea view, not to mention a spectacular sunrise- recommend to all. We would love to come again, thank you Jean, you work so hard.

The rooms for White Lodge were beautiful (we had 3 of them). They were clean, beds very comfortable and food (breakfast ) was plentiful. Jean was a very attentive host and very welcoming. Nothing was too much. It was my mums 81st beautiful and at breakfast Jean brought in a birthday cake and a card. Such a lovely gesture. Made my mum feel very special. The area where the lodge was perfect. Just enough out of the town to be tranquil but close enough to be able to get into town by foot (if mobility not a problem) or by car in a couple of mins. Will definitely be going back. Thank you Jean

First time visiting The White Lodge, however I travelled with family who had stayed before. I already had an idea what to expect, however was still very pleasantly surprised. The room (No.7) was very spacious, with a huge bed and a decent sized en-suite bathroom with a shower. Loads of storage space also available within the room, as well as a wall mounted tv and tea / coffee making facilities. For breakfast, there was a good range of cereals, fruit juices, teas and coffees, as well as a brilliant full English breakfast which sets you up for the day. The location was brilliant for us, just under 1 mile to Yarmouth Racecourse, which gave us a lovely walk to and from the racing each day (we were in Yarmouth for the 3 day Eastern Festival race meeting). In the opposite direction, it’s less than 1 mile to the town centre, with The White Lodge perfectly situated right at the beginning of the Venetian Waterway which again makes it a very pleasant walk. Last but not least, is Jean, who goes above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. Nothing is too much trouble; from allowing us early access to our rooms after an 8-9 hour journey from Scotland, to reaching out on the evening of our return to ensure we had made it back home safely and to thank us for our visit. Thank you Jean, and hopefully see you again next year.
