An experience I do not wish to repeat. So many issues that shouldn't have been so. Bed side lamp that couldn't be plugged in, gap under door so it was like sleeping in the twilight zone. Electrics seemed a bit dodgy to me. Bath room mirror looks like it's been fitted the wrong way, and a door lock with a mind of it's own. Food cheap and poorly cooked and they need to come away from school lunch style service

A warm friendly 4 night stay at the end of February. We had a suite which was very spacious. Clean linen, white bedding. Room spruce over each day. Towels changed when left in tub. Tea/coffee making tray well stocked. Hairdryer provided. Room very warm with fan provided. On the whole a tidy and relatively clean stay. A nice relaxed atmosphere. Entertainment on twice in the week. Very friendly staff who ran efficient meal times. Kept same seating arrangement for meals. Hats off to the chef 🎩 food was always a credit and looked after my partner exceptionally well with his gluten free diet. (messaged in advance on the Caledonian site) Hotel itself is in a great locality close to the front and about 10 mins walk to the town. Would stay here again.

I'll not deny this hotel could do with a refurb, but in the areas that matter it's very good. The beds were comfortable and extremely clean linen. Good shower with plenty of hot water. The food was piping hot and delicious but above all the staff are warm, friendly and extremely keen to make your stay enjoyable. Located minutes from the sea front and shopping area. Manager was very hands on in reception area and came on to our bus to thank us for being lovely guests etc. and wish us a safe journey home.

We were on a 2 night trip with caledonian going to Thursford Christmas show. The hotel is just off the sea front down a side street. Our room was on the 1st floor so we didn't use the lift. There was bedside cabinets either side of the bed a decent sized wardrobe and the shower was OK. It did keep going cold then came hot again. The radiator in the bathroom was constantly on so we had to open the window. Breakfast was fine my only gripe is that you had to ask for scrambled egg. It was brought to your table virtually straight away so why couldn't it be available to have along with the fried egg.the portion that was brought was small like a child's portion. Staff were lovely they explained everything. Also the manager came on the coach to wish us a merry Christmas and thanked us for staying. I would definitely use this hotel again.

We were on a coach trip and stayed for two nights. We were a bit dubious as quite a strong musty/damp smell as we walked in. However our room was lovely in fact we were allocated a suite complete with jacuzzi, sadly we couldn't use it as no plug 😔. Bedding was clean, however for the size of the bed a bigger quilt would have been better. The food was very good and plentiful and the dining room was spotless. Staff were excellent, very helpful and chatty. Location is good, 10 minutes walk into town and five to the pier. Could do with a bit of TLC but all in all a great place to stay.

Stayed in alot of hotels around the country with Caledonian travel and this is one of the best . The room was spotless lovely and warm and bed was lovely and comfortable Staff are lovely and friendly and the food was delicious and they were very generous with the portions bar prices very reasonable too it's just such a shame it's so far down the country from us in the North East

Comfortable beds, hot shower, good food, friendly staff. Clean rooms, bedding and bathroom. Dishing out food could be better organised as some people didnt get the meal they ordered earlier in the day. Near sea front and town. Will definitely recommend this hotel, coach companies use it.

We had a wonderful suite, but i gather others were not so lucky. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the meals lovely and hot. Well presented. Nice location. Comfortable although had to turn off radiator as it was very hot and had to open window.
