My son and I had the most relaxing time at Wildekrans. The property is so beautiful, we swam, walked on the mountain, played with the dogs, explored the amazing garden, read and had the most delicious dinners and breakfast, hosted by wonderful staff, Ani and Rosie and their team. A must stay.

Wonderful staff, relaxing environment & clean rooms. It’s the small things that really make this place amazing like fresh flowers in the rooms, the friendly staff, personal requests are seen to without problems and the gardens are beautiful too.

Wildekran's Country House was like a step back in time. It is an 1800's heritage house surrounded by beautiful,slightly wild, gardens and a swimming pool. The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable. We were surrounded by the growing collection of South African artwork collated by our wonderful host, Alison. All the staff in the house were very friendly and helpful . The food was simple and delicious. After our exertions on The Green Mountain Trail every meal was a great treat. One of the most enjoyable features of the time we spent at Wildekrans was meeting very interesting people and having lively conversations over dinner. We were in a group of four family members and joined up with five others. This venue was highly recommended by South African friends of ours and we were not disappointed in any way. A gorgeous place in the most stunning location. The owners and staff were welcoming and helpful. The gardens and pool were delightful. tea nd rusks in the bedrooms. Honesty bar. Excellent breakfast. It was a real home from home and I can thoroughly recommend.

Beautifully appointed house with very pleasing attention to detail. Fabulous garden, the scent of honeysuckle wafting into our bedroom, great art, breakfast in the quirky barn, wonderful service from Rosie, Anna and Cassie, nothing too much trouble. We’ll definitely be back

We came to walk the trail with a group of our Pilates friends ,. There were 10 of us and we fitted perfectly into this ideal setting . The food is delicious with all our dietary requirements , respected and handled imaginatively . Even our late breakfast on the mountain was low carb and special . We had several wine tasting and lunches on farms organized for us and as Alison guests everything was tip top ! We had a very special art tour and talk one evening by Alison who has curated a magnificent collection of South African contemporary art over the years which is displayed in her home and extensive gardens . The staff are also lovely , caring and knowledgeable and we can’t wait to return . Thank you for your attention to detail and organisation skills ,It doesn’t just happen .💕

The rooms were comfortable and big. The house is old so has lots of history. The food , which was served in a beautiful barn,was amazing .All dietary requirements were taken into account. The views and peaceful garden with a swimming pool also added to the experience.I can recommend a weekend get away.

Spent one night at Wildekrans and it was lovely to see the Elgin Open Gardens. The gardens are beautiful and so very pretty. The mountain views are exceptional. The accommodation is lovely and comfortable. The only negative was that we were there for only one night!
