Don't be scared away by one bad review! This is budget accommodation but it's clean and safe. Rooms are ensuite with a kettle WiFi and TV. The location is brilliant- 5 minutes from the station and right on the quayside. Very quiet area. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great location, eating places, leisure centre, small cinema, and shops nearby. I have stayed a few times before. Pleasant and comfortable room, nice and cosy. Feels safe for a solo woman traveller. Very helpful caretaker John. Third time I have stayed and have booked it again for November

Just what it says on the box! Clean, secure, basic accommodation a few minutes walk from the heart of Greenock. Plus point: very pleasant, obliging staff. The shower was temperamental on the night of my visit, but I hope to stay here again in the spring so that I can enjoy sightseeing and country walks.

What a brilliant value-for-money place to stay right on the historic River Clyde within easy walking distance of the town centre and Greenock Central railway station which has direct links to Glasgow City (around 40 mins) and Airport. The accommodation is student digs offering overnight stays, its is basic yet very comfortable and spotlessly clean with a warm welcome from staff that really car that you enjoy your time in Greenock. The bed and mattress aided a lovely night's sleep. There was a kitchen for your use during the stay.

Given that Greenock has become an accommodation problem due to the Government taking entire hotels off the market, and that the Waterfront was where we needed to be, we thought we would give cheap and cheerful a go. We aren't snobs and we can look after ourselves - but this place beat us. If it had been student flats in a former life that was probably about right. Firstly my main concern was fire safety - I really don't know how this place got a certificate. The escape is the access stairs or jump - hardly fire safe in my book when you are on the second floor. Yes - its plain, no lifts, painted breeze block walls - no food service whatsoever, but what do you expect at this price. Brewing facilities and car parking were provided. The bed was basic but sleepable - and the place was clean - but what did for us was the shower running all night so there was no hot water at all and whilst the Wifi was present data wasn't. In essence - despite the caretaker, John being a grand chap, and the bargain basement price, I couldn't wait to get out and head home. At the price - if you can overlook the faults OK - but its not really for me.

This is the 3rd time we stayed here , excellent location ! People who complain about this place if you want the Hilton type of place pay there price . The price for this place is spot on cheap ,😊👍 the rooms are clean and basic but if that’s what you want this is the place to stop we will definitely be coming and stoping here again 👍

Very clean room, low cost, Caretaker John, was very professional and very welcoming. Will definitely go back.Many amenities nearby and stunning views across the River Clyde. Wonderful place. Plenty of places of interest to go to, whatever you enjoy. Great value.
