Aloft Greenville Downtown

Staff was very friendly. Initially, the parking situation and check in (fourth floor vs ground level) was a little confusing. The breakfast add on was not worth it.

All good with the exception of the first and second shift of the front desk inability to program parking key cards correctly. We spent the 5 of our 7 days dealing with not being able to get in and out of the parking garage. The excuses they gave are failed attempts to blame the guests and Greenville city. Thankfully, the night auditor corrected it and we had no problems after. As a former GSR and Hotel GM, the excuses were insulting while dealing with the inconvenience nearly our entire trip.

The moment when you get to a hotel and everything is “as it should be” is great. That’s usually all i need but the bonus moments are worth mentioning. There’s an incredible coffee shop in the shared courtyard, probably one of the best roasters in the US- Methodical. The hotel bar has a genuinely lovely human making you feel at home. I had a particular ice request with my soda water, simple order but one that brings me simple comfort. He welcomed my inquiry, laughed WITH me for a second as I defined the parameters and my affection for “good ice” - iceman, thanks for humoring me. Would def book here again.

Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Loved staying there. My only two negatives are the coffee served was very bitter so we went elsewhere every morning and in the evenings they had a DJ playing in the lobby/bar area which has a lot of hard surfaces that made it echo badly. Coming from a music & event background I’d suggest adding some sound absorbing elements to cut down on the cacophony.

Excellent service all the staff was helpful. This is a full service hotel. Modern and relaxing place. Highly recommend if going to Greenville. Not to mention it’s right downtown. Walk outside the door and you’re in the cute downtown area full of shops and restaurants.

I cannot give enough praise for this hotel! Everything was amazing, clean, modern, and the staff even printed out directions for us to attend a wedding in Easley. The views from upstairs were beautiful and it was perfectly located to downtown Greenville, which is such a gem! We will be coming back for a repeat visit.

Best location for walking all weekend! Very pleased with how quit and clean the room was. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay and it was very clean. It was our first time at Aloft and everything was good except we didn’t realize the vanity area did not have a door (for privacy and quiet) and if you needed the vanity light, it lit up the whole room so it was difficult to sleep in when others got up early. In my opinion it was a design flaw. If you get up the same time it’s fine or if you’re alone but for a family of 4 with different wake up times it was an inconvenience.

It was an interesting choice to have the coffee pot near the bathroom. Choosing to basically have a tall hazy glass pane between the bathroom and bedroom led to a startling surprise when my partner used the bathroom in the night and flooded the whole room with light as a result. Excellent location for getting around, but overall lackluster for the price point.
